I agree MrBB. The outcome is as I suspected but doesn't mean I am happy with it.
The only consolation one can take is that, with the resources at their disposal, big Pharma could easily have made a counter offer with loose change found down the back of their corporate sofas if it really was the screaming bargain that it appears (to us) to be.

Yes, not going anywhere! I have sold the remainder of my Vectura today, when a bid was announced there about 3 weeks back the SP went to a premium as a counter bid was widely predicted. Its sunk since, and think I'd rather only have one thing to worry about!

If its confirmed at 67.5 I would expect a couple of pence rise to low 60s until likely success or failure becomes clearer. Cant really approach 67.5p due to the likely time period until the moneys are paid if the bid succeeds (6 months plus). Bid and rejection might be quite fun and supportive at around current levels, depending on how soon GF can come back with a new offer (both due to the hoops they have to go through with their masters and Regulatory considerations).
Lack of a bid by GF will send the shares down as there is no other avenue open (no other bid is likely with GF holding such a blocking vote at 28.8%), but not as far as 40p - although that figure is possible as it may be perceived that something unpleasant was found in the corner of the broom cupboard during due diligence to even make the current derisory proposed bid.

Bonkers, I don't think its a question of why this stock rather than one 'more volatile' - from Oct 20 through to 6th May (about the time he and the other muppet appeared) BCN was pretty volatile. And with a 'proposed' bid I guess there was an expectation by him that this volatility would continue. What astounds me is why he continues to try to convince this assembled crowd, I've not read his nonsense for a month or more but I can see from the reactions to his posts that 95% of people hear think he's a (complete as you think appropriate). So given that almost total opposition at what point does he think to himself that he may as well give up? Tenacious if nothing else.
I've been catching up on posts this morning. I did see a post by our friend Hintza, who is of the opinion that GF will bid 90p looking to 'win' at maybe 100p. Sadly I think your Raybans are slightly rose tinted this fine day. I don't agree because GF has already said that they are putting 67.5p forward at their upcoming S/H meeting (ie of their own S/H) on 28th June. Unless they vary that figure prior to that meeting then they will not have a mandate for other than 67.5p. So I expect 67.5p on 1st July.
I am still in awe of Dees efforts. He can do no more but it will still depend on M&G. Hopefully with Hanwa on board as well as us revolting (in more ways than one!) PIs then this can be blocked. Without M&G I doubt it can

Pleased to hear you are supporting Dees remarkable effort.
Sounds like you have a variation of my problem - I have to have a round number (depending on SP). So nearly everything I hold is 10,000, 2,500 etc etc. Yet I am not OCD in anything else. Funny old world isn't it?

50%. They added if you check back the figures. So its 50% of the project, 28.8% of BCN (where BCN owns the other 50% of the project). Hence teh earlier statement that the BCN board has basically gifted Sonara to GF over the past 18 months. I agree with CHRISPs figures

To be honest that is how I read it. It is hard for them to dismiss 'inconvenient' questions asked in person, Dead easy if they are able to choose which Email questions to respond to. They just say that they were inundated so answered those they though most relevant to the meeting

Just caught up with a weeks posts. Bit of spare cash so did buy a few shares at a nice bit less than 5p yesterday. Not quite sure why!
Watched the BRR video. Didn't hear mention of Salinbas. Didn't hear mention of Tavsan. I lost count of the number of times exploration was mentioned. AAU is an exploration company again with a relatively small production side to fund it. Trouble with exploration in new areas is that the resulting production, if any, is way on the horizon - a decade or more. That's why imo we are stuck here - one off divi which will knock back the SP, doubtful there can be regular divis and a long wait for more production to generate more income - though I guess de-risked assets, once developed further, could be sold.
With Tavsan the most likely next production area, where production is sweet but short, I can even see a point where AAU will need to have money in the bank because income will slow or even dry up.
Whereas I can see a SP jump on the rather belated special divi confirmation, I can't see any immediate driver for SP increase unless POG goes through the roof.
So if I am interpreting him correctly I kind of agree with DJ. Its maybe not a pensioners share!
