certainly no bids coming from Ulster Bank or KBC.

traded at 8.15 this am-up 20c .Govt approval of KBC probably a factor. If this gain is held would not be surprised to see close to €9 by end of January.

just looking through the daily guidance notes for 3 brokers here and see that Cantor Fitgerald have stated Ryanair to be their prefered stock in travel and leisure industry with their TP of €19.44 which I find interesting as ,history wise, they are very conservative. For example few weeks ago they published a note to their client base recommending BIRG as a sell at €7.5 stating them to be overbought.BIRG since traded at 7.72 and back today at 7.5 level. However, I expect them to hit €8 in the new year as stocks tend to go higher in new year through to February- not cast in stone but 1st qtr very often when big proportion of stock's annual gain made,falling back over summer and then recovering.

Will this result in Davy being brought under closer scrutiny by CB,not that they may have anything to hide but controversy within Davy prior to BOI acquisition comes to mind.

I am quite confident this has nothing to do with dealing in BIRG shares, but are other Financial Instruements relating to the Bank's Tier 1 and Tier 2 capital structures/ratios. Post and Pre Stabilisation notices issued in november and another issued in August.

if you look at MS figs for 21 Op profit=1167mill and nett income = 1048mill- c 10% differential.
in 22 and 23 the differentials are 42% and 40% respectively -ie 300mill odd "unexplained" expenditure.
Figures are from MS with 21 figs being factual and 22 and 23 being their opinion.
