Cuckoo,
GG doesn't need my opinion ,or anyone else's, in deciding when to sell ( or buy).It costs nothing to get a 2nd or 3rd opinion on anything be it buying or selling shares. He may well have sold at 10.12 or not - may have awaited for additional 30-50c or may not. That is HIS business. Having said that , your opinion on selling at least shall never be sought as your predicted SP on release of f/y 23 results on 26 February was €8.1 to €9.6. Still undecided whether this was more offensive to yourself or to the posters on here.
You do a hell of a lot of cooing on the subject of Autism and I could well understand your advise being sought on this particular subject -
Prior to addressing me as a narcissist you introduced the term Langer , a well known Cork expression of old and which is held in particular affection , so much so it flattered me. In referring to yourself , however , the more universal adaptation immediately comes to mind - knacker.
Well Doomster I must admit you are a beaut - predicting air strikes this summer considering the French ATCs have their annual striking holidays for doomster years. Now it would be NEWS if the French boys DID NOT go on strike this summer.Interesting that the perennial air strikes have not prevented U Mikey hitting €21 , although your IAG and EJ have suffered badly.
your mate, sloopy, needs to do a refresher course on the use of the english language.
Any udate on your 60p Boo SP seeing it is now over 12 months past your prior target date while BIRG has since hit my 10.50 sp.
given upp hope on you ever undestanding RI, especially those issued with 75% discounts - the fact that debt finance is not available might help you to understand. With debt finance available RI would not be required. Life support measures comes to mind.
Cuckoo,
Do you get masochistic pleasure in being such a pedantic ignorant sarcastic cynic as this is an accurate description of you.
Still awaiting your interpretation for " scratching your crack .." as this is beyond the comprehension of anyone with even the most ordinary standards. Maybe you are adopting cliches beyond your comprehension.
Also awaiting clarification on your illness comments.
It appears to be beyond your IQ level that Investors buy AND sell shares. As posted long ago I sold tranches of BIRG and also rebought tranches.Nothing to do with 63000 BIRG shares - more to do with 46,198 BIRG and 40,000 AIB.
Is Altzheimers troubling you - considering you post at 20.50 - 20.54 - 21.19 - 21.26 -- or perhaps you have run out of valium.
Cuckoo,
would you like to elaborate on my illness.however, I would like to put you on notice that references to illness shall not be taken LIGHTLY.
I never gave a get out price to GG, simply posting there is additional 50c . Up to each poster to determine his/her get out price. Delighted to see you have taken the bottle to look through the front wide angle window and express a SP beginning with a 11. Would you like to be more specific ?
"scratching your crack on Good Friday " - would you mind interpreting.
With every post you are confirming that looking in the rear view mirror appears to be upsetting your mindset.
Is sarcasm now to be added , together with ignorance, to your qualifications - an ignorant pedantic sarcastic cynic ! Class never entered the equation.
Cuckoo,
" what's a Bank Holiday.. " Imagine we all thought you were simply a pedantic cynic. Is there any limit to your surprises. ?
As regards the BIRG SP I see they traded today at 10.51 which is a darned sight closer to 10.62 than 10.12 !!!
Also why is tomorrow a deadline ??
Strong results from AIB but BIRG sp appreciated this am much more than AIB.
AIB much better at managing costs with their cost/income ratio down to 38%,from 39% in Dec 24 whereas BIRG gone out to 45% from 42. Minor difference in NII with AIB forecast 3.65 and BIRG 3.54.
AIB voting today on 1 Bn buy back and interesting to see if it's approval does anything to sp.
Cuckoo,
appear to be going around the world, even allowing for reading between the lines.
BIRG have upgraded NII from 3.43/3.47Bn,per 26/2/24 statement, to 3.53/3.54Bn yesterday due to higher interest rate relative to prior assumptions ( 0.25bps).
Lets see what AIB IMS brings to the table tomorrow.
Doomster,
your silence is deafening on my queries. Does the truth hurt that much !!!
Back in november 23 you took the p..s out of my post saying BIRG to see 10.50 in the 1st qtr of 2024. See they hit 10.68 last week and 10.51 this morning !!!. Your Boo languishing at 33p and you posting them to be a WOW turnaround at 37.6p less than 2 weeks ago. Dont want to embarrass you too much so will leave IAG/EJ/Ryanair alone.
PROVING once again the Mkt and yourself enjoy the perfect negative correlation. Whatever share you recommend it's SP does the opposite.
Sloopy,
you must be very bored with the your sunshine considering the amount of time spent policing LSE Boards - is there ever a minute goes by without thinking about DTN ?
Must confess to being very disappointed with the Doomster in not replying to my reasonable queries --
-How come is favourite share, Boo, is down over 10% in 2 weeks from his WOW turnaround price. Would he not recommend a change in narrative from T4G alias BFD Investor alias Jremy P. "Crying Boo " comes to mind.
- When will his favourite A/Line - IAG reach it's prior high of 477p from current pric of 175P.?
- likewise with his 2nd favourite - EJ -will it reach 1260p this century.?
-How does he feel about his rejected Ryanair reaching€25 this year.
Few months ago he was taking the p..s about my predicted 10.5 SP for BIRG in the new year and wondeer how he felt when they hit €10.68 last week.
Once a failure always a failure.
Dont over do the sun/pool bathing which I dont expect you to do considering your time spent on LSE Boards.
I suppose as the resolution approving the 1Bn share buy back confirmed the end of december 2024 as the completion date the buy back should be completed by then. T and C of approval may mean it's execution is at BOD discretion.
Howth,
my reading of this is the 2024 interim dividend to be paid in 2025. 2023 results released in February 2024 The 2023 f/y figs referred to "Group expects 2024 distribution to comprise combination of ord div and share buy backs with interim div to commence."
2 negatives from BIRG statement ;
cost to income ratio gone out from 42 to 45%.
NPE exposure increased from 3.1 to 3.2%
would not be surprised if buy back balance of 480mill deferred to issue of results in 2/25. hopefully I am wrong and delivered with H1 24 end of July.
anybody going to AGM and raise the buy back balance issue.
GG,
BOD have approval to sell 1Bn value of shares ,approval expiring towards end of December 24.
The buy back of the balance could be raised at the AGM on 23 May - may not be raised by the BOD ( they have approval already ) but could be raised by a question from the floor. As less than half the 520mill buy back will not be completed by AGM date BOD may be inclined to push this out until release of H1 figs at end of July.. an early announcement could result in less shares being bought back as sp could push ahead.
"they have approval to buy back 1 bill by year end"
"they have committed to buying back 520mill by year end."
You dont have to prove to the Board once AGAIN you have a Doctorate in Pedantry. We are well aware of this.
What the Board is really interested in is whether or not the BOD will proceed with the buy back of the 480mill balance when announcing H1 24 results. This announcement will be awaited with as much interest as the PBT figure.
Any possibility you might give us your H1 PBT prediction before results are announceed - even a "reading between the lines " figure will suffice.
You will have a field day "reading between the lines" following the Q1 interim statement next tuesday. Look forward to your comments.
Hopefully , you will stick to 1 line pedantic cynicism henceforth as you are posting to your strength.
Ashton,
to clarify, the balance relates to 480 mill. they have confirmed the 520mill buy back which will be be concluded in 24 1 way or the other. I am hoping this will be concluded by time of h1 24 results , hoping they will announce with those results the completion of the 1 billion buy back for which they have secured approval.
