Proof of the pudding will be in the eating.... in my opinion when the company share price is this low there will not be another issue. ... the company has money through to next year and by then we will have a lot of completed studies.... but the Chinese will have the results of the processing of the 5k tonne sample and im guessing will be happy to forward purchase lithium to bankroll the company. .... it is just an opinion..... or maybe just a hope.... but I can see the future route to production that doesn't involve a placing....

But Ray.... ask yourself. ... why would he not see it through to completion... based on the maiden JORC the 10 year operation of the (still potentially increasing) declared resource.... of only 3 of the 7 areas within the license is already 450million dollars (once the 50million to get us into production has been accounted for)..... ... the chances of Bernard getting the opportunity to be at this point again in his life are small ..... if he is clever the Lithium revolution could be the thing that gets him rubbing shoulders with the big boys, rich beyond his hopes and remembered as an influential minerals developer during a key point in history..... he walks away from this and he is back with the thousands of others scrambling about in the mud and persuading angry investors that there really was gold in the pan the last time he looked.....

Simple truth on small cap AIM companies..... if you are trading (and I am not having a go at traders) you are effectively playing a crazy skewed game of poker with other private investors..... the "house" manage a profit out of every trade and make the spread larger in well traded stocks to ensure they aren't too exposed ..... if you are one of the few doing well at this then we'll done .... but dont kid yourselves that you are nimbly beating the system.... you are nimbly beating other PI's..... but remember in any betting game the only winner every time is the house.
Im trying to be long on most things.... but I have to admit....my first exposure to a gold stock being held long has so far not been a happy one...... but then again I wasn't expecting massive gains until appreciable gold was being collected. ... so traders might have brought the price down quicker than it would have otherwise done.... and their actions here will affect the way it recovers on good news..... but fundamentally the performance being far lower than that alluded to by Colin over the past year is the real reason for the overall loss in value.

I agree.... I dont think Colin should be the target..... when ARSO defensively responded last month to the governmental and political pressure that was brought to bear they disclosed where some of the failings have been.... primarily with our supposed partners Geo. ...the most compelling evidence imo was the submission that was rejected because they used the wrong name...not brilliant partners in my opinion.. Geo will already have gained monetary benefit from this relationship through the contractors used for the work as well as gas sales .... they will likely have billed the JV for any time spent in submitting the applications as well. The only revenue Ascent gets is from gas and condensate sales.... if we end up as a complete fire sale (and anything below 2.5p is in my opinion a firesale as 5p would be a fair representation of value to a purchaser) I hope there is some investigation of all of this........

In any interrogation of what has gone wrong with this will require full ARSO cooperation. ... I dont think the shareholder badgering of them has helped.... especially if some of the reports of abusive and offensive rhetoric are true...... not helpful at all....just because Boris Johnson was our foreign secretary. ... didnt mean we should all adopt his juvenile buffoonery!

I get your point Teacups but we werent forced to pay anything. .. CB came up with a compelling restructuring plan that ditched failing assets cancelled equipment orders reduced overheads and focused on Manica development, which he painted a picture of as one of the best opportunities around ..... he also won us over with a couple of well delivered podcasts whereby he outlined the above but with an "im am honest Yorkshireman working hard to recover value for long suffering PIs". I bought in to this but a year on and I am doubting putting my faith in his words....thing is..... and Colin will say this soon in a podcast im sure..... Gold is Gold.... nothing is guaranteed. .... and if we manage to hit the motherlode then I'm sure everything will be forgiven.... im currently nursing a £2k realised loss followed by a further £3k paper loss.... which is a lot of money to me but I'm hoping I learn from this in the future... even if this comes good and makes me rich... when it comes to junior miners you have to be realistic an see the chasm between the positive projection they spout at the beginning and the unlikelihood that it will reach fruition...... even with the world's best gold prospector.... there is a lot of luck on the way to getting a commercial mine

Well said Dogberry.... for almost any problem we can think of against the uptake of EVS we can provide a solution that is within the grasp of our current technology... and the Tesla founders suggested recently in a presentation to Harvard business school that by 2022 to 2024 new EVs would be on a price parity with IC vehicles...... with a range of up to 500miles.... who can argue with numbers like this.....

I'll be honest.... getting a license is not an area of concern for me.... everyone is on board that needs to be and the application will go in once the relevant studies and reports etc have all been prepared.... im full of hope for Kodal.... just my opinion

Plus..... flurry of negativity now..... last depression of share price by traders before they buy in for the good news. .... I have to say though.... I dont understand why the methanol plant keeps getting talked about..... very tiresome...

2.45 would be a little annoying ..... but could be lived with.... lets hope there is more than 1 serious suitor as the increase in wholesale gas price means the project NPV must be significantly north of original estimates..... would make accepting a cashflow induced lowball offer seem like even more of a fire sale...... I hope for 2 offers and this reaching 3.5 .... thoughts anyone?

Good to see Dougie is still significantly invested.... he hasn't uttered a comment in a long time but used to lay out pretty good calculations for potential MC based upon field NPV ..... and he always included the loan notes in the issued share number

We don't know what pound of flesh we will have to give for the development money, hence my point.... if the permits had come the end of last year, beginning of this one when we had reasonable revenues and cash in hand then I would have been looking for 5 to 6p share price once production began to ramp up imo.....

Actually. .. the wholesale gas price is my only hope of achieving above 4p on the shareprice.... it is just that I have not factored it in yet.

Hotshot. .. im afraid that was a different time.... I reckon we are going to find a medium term ceiling between 3 to 4p ...depending on how much we have to give up for a bit of a development fund.... would love to be proved wrong

It is permit related Longlad.... the gas stays in the ground unless you have permits to allow you to work wells.... process gases etc.... until the permits arrive no company will buy us unless sure they can better facilitate these... but even then it would be a fire sale.... we need the permits

Considering it spent a year at close to 0.02p I doubt there is a market cap that this would happen at..... the risk for me is cashflow issues before (what we all hope to be the golden goose) hard rock hits.... and sentiment being too low to generate anything significant from a further shares issue... thing is..... there is talk of a downturn being imminent. ... and every man and his dog flocks to gold when that happens..... so you might find your dog share (and mine too btw) does a complete flip if they hit a hard rock seam just as the gold price rockets..... I live in hope (and destitute squalor. ...lol)
