For the big storage systems there is scope for other technologies to be developed .... but once lithium takes hold the recycling of the battery materials alone will end up being a significant arguement in keeping it as the main technology..... once something like this gains market share it is difficult to change it.... combustion engine is a great example... or the crazy 110V power network they have in America.... but on big industrial installations there is always scope for something different to be used. .... even if they are not always successful....

Fpone.... IF you turn on your electric ovens... all your electric hobs.... start the tumble drier and turn on you 2 bar lecce heayer you will draw over 6kW without even blinking and guess what.... not only does your estate transformer does not blow up. .... but you don't even trip your own consumer unit...... why? Because the other 99 houses on your estate aren't as industrious as you.... or certainly not as busy jumping to the wrong conclusions.... so they will all be drawing less than 0.5kW normally.... do a search for energy demand graphs and you will see what I mean.... 2 massive Dolly Parton peaks in the morning and early evening... baseline through the day and flatlining through the night.... honestly take a look... a picture paints a thousand words and the potential for managed overnight charging is screaming at you... As I said in my last post.... im not saying infrastructure improvements won't be needed once EV adoption really starts taking off but smart meters controlling overnight charging will significantly mitigate this in the short term .... all in my opinion of course so I'd be happy to hear back from someone with a closer knowledge of our local electricity distribution limitations....

This is my response I have given a few times over the past year and I am pleased to say that the Tesla founders in a recent seminar to Harvard business school suggested it as the way forward....charging points will be via smart meters (the next generation to the ones currently being rolled out)... the smart meter will communication with its local distribution zone to ensure the rate it is charging the car doesn't overload the transformer at the end of the street...but also feeds into a regional and national distribution level...... the supply issues on the local level are alleviated (not saying transformers won't need upgrading at some point as the EV uptake exceeds 20 to 30% but that is decades away) and the need for investment pushed down the road.... at a regional level it gives the grid a much better chance of managing voltage spikes and dips and at a nation generation level it's a boon....allowing generation peaks to be smoothed and the need for triad ready generation to be reduced..... there could even be charging price incentives for households to accept the "charge my car over 8 hours at your discretion" in exchange for a cheaper kwh..... with the expectation of 500miles ranges on cars over the next 5 to 6 years more and more people will accept this without any worry.... only the travelling sales exec will need a full charge every night anyway. On other technologies for batteries..... yes these will probably come/may come to pass however with likely lithium recovery from old batteries we may find that the driver to bring these alternative technologies to the marketplace disappears..... but there is at least 10 years of growth in the lithium Market before then.... all of your arguments against lithium Paulo are Jeremy Clarksonesque ... in that they hold themselves up only by ignoring the opposite arguements..... despite these improvements being published and realised on an almost weekly basis...... if you don't want to invest in Lithium that is fine.... but I hope you aren't as negative about everything in life..... ...

Im not making a 3.6p prediction Ned .... but it is possible.... once in production this play is so lucrative to Kodal that judicious investment in their other concerns, further development of this licence area and identification of other exploration and development targets and your number could be surpassed. ...... by 2020/2021 we will really see if BA and the board have the ability to achieve such things...... people moan about progress. ... but compared to most other mining exploratory this has an accelerated development plan..... lets hope they manage to deliver it....

Not reliable data beyond what has already been posted .... however just to lay out the comments from the Tesla founders in their talk to Harvard students. ... 2022 to 2024 they expect EV costs to reach parity with IC vehicles....and battery improvements in the same period to extend ranges up to 500miles (actually that might be km but still good). Only 4 years time..... and early life of this mine. .....expect an explosion on EV sales around about that time.

I agree. ... if Petro achieve a purchase of the whole company at a reduced price (compared to NPV of resource) based upon their current stressed status, then they would be open to investigation for their efforts along the way.....potentially imo.... so I can't see Petrol being a suitor in this instance

Disingenuous Reso.... in 2016 the loan notes were outstanding and most of us were including then in our calculations.... that that said. .. there has been an additional dilution that would have taken us down from 8.5p down to closer to 5p.... I fear however that the current strategic review will give me a bolt on profit at only 2.5 to 3p a share due to the distresses cashflow .... im annoyed that the potential has been walked down in such a way but im sorry I blame the permit fiasco...... it was the only doubt I had on investing in the beginning.... European fracking has been severely hindered by the environmentalist. ... a lot of whom will have gas heating in their homes and will fail to see the contradiction between this and their hardliners stance here.... like fur coat wearing Peta supporters

Reso. ... if the permits had been forthcoming then the bankloan wouldn't have been on revenue from 2 wells.... it would have been the projected development plan.... but of course our partners have been woeful in their ability to submit aplications both for the IPPC and for well workovers (I see this as equivalent to new wells permits too) hence our current predicament.... and hence our need for both types of permits to be issued at this time. .... Geo putting the wrong company name on the application beggars belief and engenders conspiracy theories....... "infamy. ... infamy. .... they've all got it in fa' me"

Of course gfd.... you are right.... no permit unless you demonstrate you are not causing an environmental catastrophe or poisoning water supplies to local communities. ...

I believe SC will forward buy Lithium...... They seemed to have problems getting money out of china to invest, however there arent the same restrictions on buying raw materials. They will be able to better arrange sales once the 5Ktonne sample has been processed through the plant, so that the processor can put a specification on what product they might be producing and then a value on what they would be selling....

If they utilise their full offtake agreement then from 2020 they would be paying 40million a year anyway.....

Pressure on bringing forward the mining license application closer to the completion of the bulk sample processing would be beneficial in my opinion.....

I still think the plant itself might be funded through a more traitional equity route with the security of the plant used to obtain a good interest rate.... but this will require a realistic business plan and preferably a signed permit as well.... just my opinion .....

15million is nothing against the independently assessed mine output.... depending on the source of the credit they will require varying degrees of security .... but the plant itself will be part of that..... the business plan... mine development plan.... permit... sales agreements. ... these all de risk the project. ... 15million will be easily provided......the rest could be forward sold to SC.... easy

No point indeed TPT. ... but my understanding was restimulation at the current location.... not stimulation of other depths.... anyway. ... if the permits had been issued in a timely manner then we wouldn't have even had this discussion. .... restimulation would have been completed

I agree. .. and I think some forward selling will be part of the 50mil financing..... and I think that will be hammered out once the bulk sample testing de risks the product.... I think the plant will be funded by debt though..... and a 15mil line of debt will require a permit and development plan for the mine .... not just the takeoff agreement. ..... I wonder if the Q1 meeting with the Malian gvt is a fixed date....

The well needs stimulation more than compression..... imo.... im not a qualified well engineer but restimulate until a diminishing return..... then maybe bring in compression to extend well life just before shut-in..... 1 plant permit and 2 well stimulation permits in hand and the strategic review will spit out a deal that will cover finances until production can start to ramp up again. ...

Im going to give all parties the benefit of the doubt and cite incompetence. .... however that means in the future I will be steering clear of investments involving... Clive, Slovenia and Geo ....

You are right Tel.... ive had a paper profit of £10k across all my shares last year to a paper loss now of £10k across all share.... contrary to what some say .... I pick on fundamental and medium to long term ..... so I am not concerned with my current situation.... although I would prefer to be in profit. ... it is a life lesson ... I agree...
