Anyone in Darwin shares knows they sell before conversion. It doesn’t matter how many notes there are, it’s a total amount. If not forward sold, it’s insider trading of blatant proportions and very easy to check. Price action last 2 days was 100 pc darwinesque

( well 80 ) That aside, the parent investment and 2m euro loan preceding all makes it much less clear of what is really going on. With business morales today anything is poss cause it’s defo design to get pis to sell and batter them.

Well if this was forward selling , first note nearly converted. If an existing holder sold then it’s very blatant. Difficult to tell but I did say smacks of forward selling which means they are issued at 125 pc of 1.65p ( don’t forget they get a 5pc comm plus warrants) Bad bits it’s expensive . Good bits may be first note already sold ( conversion notice to come) . If so, 90 days before the next issue. If very good news flow , it’s fine, if no news it’s crap. But as mere outsiders , we don’t know

Quite right Tri - I assume if you know the seller you sold at 2.2p odd and made alot more back! The rate of selling still points to forward - it appears time is of the essence - T2 - so either new placing shares or any warrants out there - in the money below 1.5p??. Or some CLs? Given its gone on longer, reckon �750k raise./ conversion - 50m shares - about where we are now since yesterday. Could be wrong but distressed sellers with 50m who don't do an offer market deal are rare

�500k placing at 1.5p [25% discount to 2p - and its down 25% since yesterday 30m shares - almost gone.[usually done on news day and in 1 day -so very few left imo Seems to be the norm -recovery from here.

well its supposed to look like a bed and isa but its too big. Interesting, 1m is 1.69p but 2m is 2.25p [and 1.5p to sell] with IG. Clearly you'd ring your broker for 2m but its intriguing.

Yep, its not a crappy mou but a full agreement with any finance being sorted out by the multi-national partner. Contracts forthcoming are pretty certain after doing all that due diligence. Nice buy in price - Mr 500k just playing atm

If Star was a private co, you would not have had this problem - the auditor just makes the adjustments - its actually very common. But giving a trading statement to the market so close to the y/e infers it was rushed and not properly reviewed - its that simple.As I said, they are all consolidation items which is the last bit of accounts prep you do - if the subsid accounts are a tad late - has a knock on and no doubt the MD was breathing down his neck.. Larger PLCs are used to this reporting timetable and have bigger and better accounting depts. Pretty sure new procedures will be in place form now on.

Don't shoot me as I'm under researched but if you have a large order for the UN, pretty sure debt finance is a poss. - new CFO? - UKTI / GEF etc How bigs this potential order ?

There's a big diff between accounts and cash. These error appear to be consolidation errors [i.e when you add up subsids but adjust for double counting] Unrealised for-ex has not cash impact [its just a y/e snapshot thing. Share based costs small and almost certainly paid. Holding co costs - again most likely paid and possibly incorrectly canceled on consolidation. All imo as I don't work there - but a likely scenario. If they have has 3 CFO's in may be that none have put in consolidation controls - new man should have picked it up though - pretty certain the auditors will give a letter of recommendation as to how to plug this gap.

Technically it is balance sheet related as your reserves will be lower. In itself, not much of a prob but a tad worrying is that the results were produced by the new CFO. Given the size of the co, producing accounts are not very difficult so for the CFOs first stab to have material errors and omissions ain't great.. All make mistakes though and accounting prob not cashflow - bit of a storm in a teacup imo [not invested btw - just an ex auditor]

Av vol on Nasdaq is 2.5k [x20] No one is buying or selling hence nothing. Beginning to think Reuters ain't reliable - haven;t had 10m for this change. Tried reconciling CPX reuters and couldn't . Anyway, time will tell.
