We don’t know that the review (or certainly a daft report) hasn’t been completed.

It may be that WG are just assessing how best to present the facts, put some mitigation in place to prevent recurrence and explain how they’re going to recover the situation.

A bit embarrassing to release a report with a load of recommendations and not be able to explain your future actions to cover them.

I’d rather a considered RNS rather than a quick one.

They haven’t “done the deal” they’ve entered into an agreement.

Needs a shareholder vote to approve issue of 21 million plus extra shares - mind you there is a $50 million clause if deal fails.

Whomever advised Genel that an arbitration hearing had a decent chance of success was obviously much cheaper - perhaps they’re paid on their competence.

I think what the market wants is to see the proof (profit, debt reduction and slower decline rates) of the promises at acquisition realised.

Unfortunately continued further acquisitions ensure the proof never quite catches up.

DEC seems to be destined to trade at a discount to NAV until they can have some stabilised financials reported for comparison purposes.

- news wasn’t close and certainly wasn’t on Super Friday.

- news by end of Jan? No official news on that - and you’d think they’d advertise as soon as they could if they were confident on a date.

Time for a new crystal ball ? Or perhaps just wait till you have an actual fact!

Expressing a view that something is over valued is fine. Selling when you think your asset is over valued is fine.

Even borrowing stock to sell high hoping to buy back low is fine.

What is less fine is market manipulation to reinforce your point of view. What is not fine is the spreading of disinformation to make your gamble more likely.

If the big boys are manipulating the market then that is firstly unfair to smaller investors and secondly likely to reduce participants in that market.

I could buy shares in BP then blow up all their oil rigs to reduce share price. Would that have investment merit to you?

This isn’t DEC specific , markets down both sides of the Atlantic. Especially O&G companies.

After record index highs you’ve got to expect a load of profit taking and position resetting from the big boys.

Even at this price DEC is up over 3 and 6 months and flat over last month.

Problem you keep missing is cashflow!

We haven’t got a longer term outlook if we can’t keep paying the staff and the bills. There is no evidence that EQT have ever managed this well, they just lurch from crisis raise to the next crisis raise. Either stupid levels of cost and interest or massive shareholder dilution.

Don’t see much evidence they’re any better in 2025 (afraid optimistic opinions don’t count as much as facts).

Terry, at present I don’t disagree.

As I’ve said before I think we need a bit of time to consolidate, incorporate new supplies and pipe networks, sort out other opportunities (land sales, methane and possible CC) and both pay down debt and provide some comparable accounting periods.

I think this will now be enforced by asset prices rising.

Someone cleverer than me once compared DEC to a boa constrictor that has eaten too many pigs - we now need to digest them 😀

Good article. Looks like demand and prices for 2025 will be higher than 2024.

Higher prices will also likely remove opportunities for “bargain” acquisitions. Depending on your view (and we all know yours Terry) that might be great thing or a shame. 😀

As dividends are quarterly then your sums are 50% out.

If you’re correct on the $1.02 then a quarter of half of that is more like 12.5c (not 21c) plus whatever we get from q4 results in adjusted EPS.
