Very interesting, the report reflects many of the views on here and does some reassuring cashflow forecasts out to 2034 assuming normal run down of resources, repayment of debt, payment of dividend and nil further acquisitions. Debt free by 2034 with chance to up dividends in 2 years based on cashflow.

However, it also says further acquisitions are accretive as this is a good time to buy and we appear to be the only buyer in town - both driving down asset acquisition prices. More acquisitions improve the forecasts and provide additional income streams (CMM, land sales, CC etc)

All we need is patience!

As of now DEC SP down 0,93%, HH up +6.80%, not proof but a good indication on the view of the market.

Terry that was your view yesterday. Today, HH down yet UK share price up and US price above $17 and rising.

Do you think the market has had a think and changed its mind?

Or looking at it another way, the large holders got caught out by the big drop and, unwilling to take the significant loss are holding on with their fingers crossed. Like many of us perhaps 😀😀

I guess the RNS review date will be dictated by the content. If it’s worse than expected they’ll try to bury it on a busy news day if it’s better they’d look for a window when there are no distractions.

They’ll have an idea of whether it’s catastrophic, merely bad, as expected or better than expected already.

Broom it was cash and current liquidity - so guess they called on the RCF. So potentially more debt just not new debt.

Landowner, you could argue it’s been undervalued for 25 plus days but very few 4.5% daily rises.

Volume certainly was low - about half of daily average - unless some late additions change that.

Doubt the rise was just on oil price - but hey, what do I know.

Anyway, nice to see, even on low volumes.

Terry - a few comments on your response!

- you might not like strategy change but US seem to like it and afraid they’re in charge now, not you.

- you have no evidence the acquisition was leaked. Given US seems to like it surely we’d have a ride not a drop!

- you have no evidence the SP would rise if acquisitions stopped - but like you never had any evidence that BBs help share price. The acquisitions make the assets bigger so company worth more. Simples.

Money going on stable dividend, acquisitions and debt reduction. You don’t get a vote.

Terry, you’ve got to accept that the strategy changed. Now Rusty has said that dividend is fixed for 3 years and remaining money will be for acquisitions and debt repayment you aren’t getting a dividend increase, BBs or a special dividend - get used to it.

If Rusty were to change strategy again (and I think he’s learned his lesson) that would be detrimental to share price.

Any acquisition that makes more profit than the cost of interest has hit to be good.

As of 1430 it seems market has done the sums and approves.

How is Iraq out of the equation? They dictate what KRG can or can’t do and how much they get.

Steph, I admire your optimism and agree that a closing between NAV and share price seems logical once there is a better proof of asset values but why would there ever be a premium?

Let’s just hope for a closing discount 😀

What makes you think export is imminent?

KRG and Iraq can’t agree on profit share.

Iraq and IOCs can’t agree on contracts / terms.

Iraq and Turkey can’t agree on opening pipeline.

These arguments gave all been going on for years and don’t seem any closer to resolution.

What we have lost is any chance of an arbitration award and any chance of geographical diversification.

We have a BoD who have done nothing but local sales at a huge discount to international oil prices for years.

I don’t see any changes imminent.

More producing assets with immediate impact on the bottom line always welcome.

Buying them from cash at hand / current liquidity much more acceptable than more loans or dilution.

Buying into CMM experience also a clever move with scope for further expansion with more knowledge.

I’d say a good day at the New Year sales.

People choosing exits is going to be interesting. We have people who bought in under a tenner well in profit and potentially selling on any rise. We have long term holders who are still underwater till we get to £20 plus - do they further losses at some point? We have those like me who have averaged down (my average is about £16 ish) who are probably about evens with dividends who might stay or might go.

Agree with Trek that this is likely to continue to rise for many reasons (gas price, domestic consumption, exports etc). However I also think decent results for next 2 quarters will be a positive, as will the remaining shorters buying to close out.

I’d hate to have held for so long only to miss out on Methane, carbon capture or land sale rewards. Trailing stop losses at some point soon methinks. Happy to keep an unbalanced portfolio a little longer 😀😀

Not sure how you can time entries and exits when price is moving up and down by 12% based on no news at all.

Your blind optimism is great to trade against

Lots of positives ahead, gas prices up, share price bounding up and still the shorters hold.

A lot of potential buying still sat there pending when they cave - how brave / foolish / reckless can they be?

But the 94% of longs (all buyers or holders) haven't managed to move it up from 65p either.

It’s a stalemate til more news is issued.

No evidence at all that shorters are losing their grip !
