Just because I can sell a few acres in optimal locations for price X, that doesn’t mean the remainder is also worth the same, especially another 9plus million (supply and demand etc).

If DEC really thought it was worth that much it would be valued on the books to improve financials and be available as an asset to borrow against more cheaply.

It’s worth a bit but difficult to shift and will only be sold in dribs and drabs as we’ve seen to date.

LL - they have done one in Oman - see 10 Mar RNS.

But it seems to be a partnership in which they carry a lot of partner’s early costs!

I asked about this at AGM and was told “it’s the cost of doing business in the region.”

No income for a while but at least we may have a trustworthy host in the future.

You’ve wanted significant BBs for ages. Now you’ve got them. US price up not down and 116,000 less dividends to pay.

This might be the start of the pause and consolidation we’ve all been asking for (though of course it might not). 😀😀😀

US volume was 417k shares yesterday according to Market watch (not sure how accurate that is) at about 70% of average volume.

So Yesterday’s BB was over 25% of all US buys! No wonder it’s moving the price.

JC, not easily pleased, just pointing out the factual inaccuracy in your assertion that the share price is “treading water.”

You can be as negative as you like but facts still remain facts 😀

Share price up over 10% in the last week against falling HH prices.

US pre market and open both rising now at $12.65!

But presumably you’d be happier if the share price and dividend were both increasing due to sales at worldwide prices rather than local ones.

- Iraq hates KRG and doesn’t want them to have any financial independence whatsoever.

Any deal Iraq are happy with will have to emasculate KRG and ensure they are always beholden to Iraq for money. Else the pipe could have remained open whilst these discussions were underway.

All sides now setting out why failure to compromise is not their fault.

Morbox’ link sets out the APIKuR stance - which seems pretty fair to any Western capitalist.

KRG now accusing Iraq of not having paid for the last 12m barrels (see links on GKP).

Iraq saying we’re trying really hard but no-one is complying with our budget law and the back payments aren’t our responsibility.

When each side is explaining why it’s not their fault it’s difficult to see a resolution.

Perhaps a KRG push for independence, backed by foreign money / forces using the mask of countering ISIS is the longer term route to freedom from Iraq and resumption of exports.

If Genel had sorted some diversification years ago instead of prevaricating we would be better off.

Kuwait was a British Protectorate until 1961 then became independent.

Iraq invaded in 1990 and “claimed” it was the 19th province but no-one else in the world recognised that claim.

Agree with him that a meaningful re-rate is unlikely but I’d prefer a gradual 2 % or so rise a week to spread out sellers anyway.

DEC up over 7% in the last week (admittedly from a very poor start position) but slow and steady from here might be possible with consistent production, profits, debt reduction and BBs. Just need to hold off big acquisitions and stabilise.

If those holding the chunks of shares get to like the dividend and see gradual capital appreciation they may hold longer.

A bland RNS trying to paint a tiny increase as a good performance.

Strategy declared as balancing investments with shareholder returns via share buy backs.

Pretty underwhelming and unlikely to bump SP much.

I’m sure they’ll tell us everything is fine and next year we’ll all be rich 😀

I’d hope Molten would try to explain why they think share price so lags “their” valuation of assets tomorrow, either in results or certainly to ward off questions in investor presentations.

Without some logical explanations people might assume it’s lack of faith in the management team 😀

SP now seems to be tracking US pre market prices - currently at £9.31 equivalent.
