Companies that sucker punch a few days before a scheduled update are not trustworthy imo, they've known about this, no material impact to FY23, why announce it today?

I'm selling out as I don't trust companies that do this.

So just to clarify this, the company is forecasting Ebitda of 88 million this year, debt is not that big in the grand scheme of things, dividend to increase this year, and the market has a Mcap of barely 300 million.

The volume is very low, its getting moved on double digit sells.

Could be one of those stocks that has very few PIs to counter the algo trades.

It's just a outburst of frustration, they certainly know how to play the long game.

It just baffles me how this barely moves 1% even on blue days, how tge CFO still hasn't bought, how even firstgroup have outperformed and they're losing contracts!!

Why won't MM allow this to move up, even slightly?

Are these individual people not AI that are controlling this?

Why is NEX harder hit than IAG, Firstgroup, leisure stocks etc etc, they even had contract revenue still coming in during Covid.

Pathetic to knock off 5% on a buy rating that's still more than double the sp, no wonder the UK markets are a laughing stock.

Seriously thinking of starting to trim this down now, you can't even trade this , it certainly isn't trading like a fundamentally sound company, its trading like bad news is coming. So fed up holding this.

These brokers shouldn't be allowed to rate stocks pre results, it stinks.

The way I read it is that there's a billion of the 1.5 billion preferred bidder stage awards, so we are doing what we say!!

This contract award forms part of the US$1.5 billion of opportunities described by Petrofac as being at preferred bidder stage in its December trading update.

Hopefully I'm not jinxing it but I think it's quite telling that there were no short increases in THG yesterday, unlike WG and they've gone wild on ASOS. I think despite it being loss making , like Ocado and Asos, the valuation at this level is one of the divisions alone.

As for NTWK I sokd out my core holding and banked the profit at 400 and just bought back in a few days ago hoping for a quick 10%, deadline for the Brookfield on Friday.

I just think this is all just showing how poorly valued the UK stock market is, just look at currys, beat profit guidance, and all time lows.

Why would global investors invest here if markets are unwilling to value profitable growing g companies accordingly.

The way I'm seeing THG is, that Apollo were serious and even sent people over to try and do a deal, Moulding can't now make a low ball offer to take it private because if its lower than Apollos offer there could be severe repercussions, other US IIs were buying in and building significant stages in April in the 80s, and Moulding needs to do something before his golden share expires in September.

Lastly the wording in Apollos statement " reserve to right to buy shares" seems a hidden message in itself.

Yep the business is loss making, the City hate Moulding and vice versa, it will be whacked at every opportunity, but if he's walked away from another bid between 150-200 he must have other plans in motion.

My punt here isn't on the fundentals, it's on the likelihood that it will go private at some point.

I think the whole THG saga will eventually play out this year, and either side of 60p seems a good punt.

Totally agree, basic dynamics of supply and demand completely ignored by the Market and mms.

This why there should be significant costs imposed on shorters and hedge funds for every single sell they make on shorted stock , and the sells volume is less than say 10k.

They do it because they can, like today, all 3 figure volume sells and the price just falls and falls on volume that's worth a few thousand quid. Ludicrous

They have stated that they intend the interim dividend this year will be a third of the previous FY dividend so approx 1.67 interim.

I have just reread the April TU below again and seemed more like an upgrade. Is it because of the net debt expectations 30-50 million?

As previously indicated, working capital has increased in the quarter consistent with the ramp up in activity, with the Group moving into a net debt position in the period. Working capital is expected to peak during H1 2023, with net debt in the range $30m - $50m targeted by the end of June 2023, followed by cash generation in H2 2023, with management targeting positive cash and bank by year-end. The final dividend recommended for 2022 of 4.5 cents per share is due for payment on 12 May 2023, which will absorb c.$7.2 million.

We need Apollo to approach now the THG deal is off.

They could buy WG and PFC, create petrowood, create synergies to save loads, and create a multi billion pound oil services giant.

But we would have to be very unlucky for neither offer to proceed.

I guess the next date is when the Brookfield deadline arrives, whether at that point there is any counter offer from the consortium, or whether there is an extension there too.
