What difference will a TU actually make?

F all imo.

It will rise on the day as ever one has since last July, then will get sold off or an analyst will downgrade.

Either the market has got this wrong, or most of us who have been here the last few years have completely misjudged this.

This desperately needs a major shareholder or even an activist to kick the board up the a55. I mean look at how it has performed since the dividend announcement in March.

Anyone would have thought they cut it, not reinstated it.

Useless IR also imo.

Unfortunately UK markets are finished and just stagnating, they are out on their own, only follow other indexes down, don't bounce after US bounce days, just dire performers currently.

Maybe it's just representative of the UK as a growth economy in general.

I'm sure most on here expected more of a bounce day today following the US last night, no wonder investors are steering clear.

Even sound dividend paying companies, Aviva, Lgen can't get a bounce.

To be honest I'm not a labour supporter but we need a change and I think markets will actually respond better to a change in goverment.

I still have a niggling thought that the recent bank crisis was the appetiser for what's to come.

UK market seems completely detached from everything, its not following any of its European counterparts, or the US.

Why is our market such lame duck.

If anything should boost and support the equity price here, it should be the bond price, right?

What today tells me is Brookfield are happy to pay 400 after due diligence, considerable negotiation and information gathering, which almost certainly includes current trading figures and outlook.

So IMO there are only 3 possible outcomes.

1 it gets approved at the agm and we all get 400 not 3 f-----g 83.

2 it gets rejected

3 A higher offer materialises possibly from existing II Mastercard.

UK market is so corrupt, right up to the last minute in case major shareholders reject it, they won't give a fair price.

Why wouldn't anyone buy more now at 385?

I think last June's update was an unscheduled profit Warning on margins, then they did the usual HY update in July.

Liberium are clowns, did exactly the same to NEX post results and the sp sunk 10%.

The same analyst had a hold at 80 just after results, and then downgraded the next day and the markets have listened and ignore Berenbergs very positive analysis.
