Newmont, Newmont, Newmont - not Newcrest - I have fallen into that trap so many time it is not true. I wonder whether Newcrest will change their name to save my continued embarrassment?

Whilst many of us are bemused (lots might put that in far stronger language) I see the current SP through the lens of opportunity .... the opportunity for other investments to have their day and hopefully I can consolidate here at these (in my view) extremely good value low levels (again many will use other superlatives - I did have to smile at the feedback from the AGM and GH's comment about potentially needing to resort to the F word) because I have a deep belief that this company is going to deliver outstanding returns to it's shareholders. I am struggling to remember a disappointing RNS other than that memorable event involving Newcrest - and that was a company decision rather than a drill result.
I am seriously considering breaking some long held investment mantras about diversification here.
My continued thanks to several excellent posters here for sharing their knowledge and research - it is very much appreciated.

I agree on the finance comment ConMan - I would have thought though that they would have had to show something tangible on that subject as part of the permit process otherwise what comfort would the authorities have that by granting the permit, that they mine would be reopened? The RNS dated July 4th pointed to the requirement for a working capital statement - I would have thought the permit would have been more demanding in its requirements. Given the managerial skin in the game I would be extremely surprised if this had not been sorted well in advance. Just my thoughts.

To the next RNS and hopefully details of how production will recommence. The plans would have already been drawn up to an advanced state and I suspect now finalizing the contracts with 3rd parties and finance deals. This is a sleeping giant at the moment.

spymaster. Isn,t that exactly what the RNS said yesterday. Prove up the licence to divest. Great news to shareholders. And no true investor here should worry about a placing it that happens. Perfectly normal for an exploration company it,s business lifecylce. If people do not understand that then they should not be investing here.

Clear message to the market. To my mind they must be in early negotiations on the project to warrant the drilling alongside the divestment statement. Funds for the war chest to ramp up the extended Patterson exploration to build up the justification for another venture with Newcrest?

Agreed Ron. I think that there are going to be a lot of surprised people when the timelines to production are made public. With gold set to increase in my view next year 2020 is going to be amazing .
