Not looking to jump the gun here but as we helpfully approach the end of stage 2 and NC acquire their 40%, I am interested to hear what posters think about stage 3 activity:Stage 3, ie:
If Newcrest incurs an additional US$25 million in expenditure in relation to the Tenement Blocks and delivers a Pre-Feasibility Study for a project on the Tenement Blocks (the "Stage 3 Commitment") within a period of 24 months from the date following satisfaction of the Stage 2 Commitment, Newcrest will earn an additional 20% Farm-in Interest (cumulative 60% Farm-in interest);
Given the spend of 25M dollars in this phase I am curious as to how this will be spent - lots more drilling? Anyone with industry knowledge that can through light on this?

TomE - it doesn't take too much imagination to reach those sort of numbers if the Patterson continues to unveil Tier 1 targets - big IF of course and it will take time but imo it is feasible.

Am I missing something? - a director has purchased £40 worth at 0.0013p - and the market price is 0.1325p Why the excitement? - the director can sell and make about £4K.

Of course - add into the mix that Scallywag and Patterson Range east are not that far from Telfer....my money is on NC entering into further JV's at some point. If they want to buy us out now though for a £B that would make for an interesting dilemma!

Rock the boat!

Remember the terms of the JV - NC has first rights of refusal in Patterson. Any proactive action from Rio would easily be countered by another JV offer from NC imo. Both GGP and NC have established (it seems) an excellent symbiotic relationship - why risk the boat?

BTB - whilst counter intuitive, a dip in the SP might present us LTHs / believers with a Christmas present - the opportunity to top up at even more ridiculously low levels!
Follow the facts as they unfold and not the SP - they are not related in any way at the moment.

Kieffy - I think that bird has all but been confirmed has having flown - or certainly the speculation is well and truly out there.
JK - there is also lots of speculation on this board about a buy out - as I have asked before - how would GGP be valued at this point to justify to the shareholders of any company purchasing and do you really think that GH is going to settle for cents on the dollar? I don't see it personally but time will tell.
