Jerry - that happens a lot over here but I am an incomer so no chance.
I am wondering how many other investors might want to make the move over here though - it is a beautiful part of the world and no CGT would be the icing on the cake for any large investors in GGP!

I am with you on that one newtothisgame - don't worry I wasn't prying at all. If we don't know each other directly , it is almost certain that we have common acquaintances on some level or other. The normal 6 degrees of separation is usually 3 here as you know! I will share share that I am a Westy and leave it at that.

Fractionally less of course if they sold at loss - fractionally more if they sold at a profit and brought back in cheaper than the sale price - to be clear.

Just to be clear - anyone that sold will in all likelihood made money unless it was a panic sell after buying over 3p - and if they buy back in now they will still make money in my opinion - maybe fractionally less, maybe fractionally more than had they otherwise held. So everyone is following their own strategy or maybe acting on adrenaline or fear but few are likely to have lost unless they walk away now with a loss and don't come back.
Think that covers it.

Wow - that didn't take long Gold - I was too busy reminding myself of Roxy Music songs to notice - and I had thought it would take until after lunch for the herd to turn.....I was wrong.

Morning TomE - in my eyes a little herd mentality going on here and nothing more - some big sells and the herd follows - you watch a couple of lions enter (purchases) and move the herd back on the previous direction. Traders just trying to make their incremental gains, ignoring the forthcoming news. Intraday movements are nothing to worry about - take the positives like yesterday (and probably later today as well when the herd does a 180) and polish that patience halo on the small temporary retraces.

Hi Jerry. Excellent point on the inside into from NC and one that I hadn,t considered directly yesterday but imo of course you are right. If not covered under the jv contract small print though (which I think it would be) then it would be interesting to understand what market rules would cover this as presumably both companies are covered by different laws. More of a theoretical question rather than any real possibility however in my view. Sorry Mickey I just can,t see it happening on so many levels.

And in the high!g unlikely event that NC taking a position did not contravene the small detail in the JV, then the GGP bod would be having serious words....don't see it happening personally but time will tell.
