A change of subject and lifted from the Panorama prospect section in Greatlands website. The world needs more cobalt for batteries for the electric cars coming down the line. We might have part of the solution:
Located approximately 200 kilometres south east of Port Hedland, the Panorama project occupies a dominant and strategic position across what is potentially the largest coherent cobalt in streams anomaly in Western Australia.
Stream sediment sampling data gathered by Anglo American Corporation in the early 1970s outlined a 25 kilometre long by 10 kilometre wide area of highly anomalous cobalt and up to 20 gold anomalies across the project area.
A systematic stream sediment sampling programme was completed over the broader Pilbara Region by Anglo American Corporation in the early 1970s.
Samples were collected at a nominal 2km spacing and results from these samples have outlined a large cluster of high cobalt in streams.
Stream sediments samples consistently returned over 50ppm cobalt, peaking at over 70ppm cobalt (against a background of less than 5ppm cobalt).
The area covered by the anomalous cobalt is potentially the largest coherent cobalt in streams anomaly in Western Australia being more than 25 kilometres long and up to 10km wide covering an area of approximately 200 square kilometres.
Greatland’s licences cover the bulk of the cobalt anomaly with five areas of anomalous cobalt identified in the southern parts of the Company’s licences. Cobalt anomalism in streams peaks at 70ppm and 65ppm.

Thanks Paddy - that makes sense. The alternative is of course that NCM try and make an early deal on these - the question if they tried would of course what deal could GH make if we hadn't progressed one or both as far along the value chain.....this could be turning into a strategy game on both sides.

Drill Hole 2019WTD001 intersected the targeted shallow mineralised zone returning 21.7m at 3.3g/t Au from 9.3m, including high grade zones such as 2.2m at 12g/t Au from 10.8m and peak intercept grade for the drill programme of 0.5m at 15g/t Au from 17m.
With depths as shallow as these my concern is that those Ozzie Gold Hunters don't rock up with their JCB's! Hope we have some security out there now!!

During the Farm-in period, Newcrest will have a first right of refusal over the Black Hills (E45/4512) and Paterson Range East (E45/4928) licences. Additionally, during the Farm-in period and the term of the proposed Joint Venture, Newcrest will have a first right of refusal over those blocks within the Havieron licence (E45/4701) not included in the Tenement Blocks.

Interesting there appears to be a distinction between the Farm-in period and the terms of the proposed JV... still trying to get my head around that one unless I am trying to over analyse - thoughts?

If they hit gold at Scally as per Haverion the JV deal will be even sweeter (in GGP's favour % wise) than the Haverion deal imo if that is what you mean by messy. GH knows the value here and he mentioned recently he is all about maximising shareholder value. He is the man!

Grizzle - NCM are controlling the Haverion show under the terms of the Farm In agreement. GGP are on the sidelines in all things. GGP need their own funding to take forward one or more of the other prospects. There are many ways to do that including placings / schemes with drill operators for work carried out for future share allocation / divesting projects when we have moved them through the value chain to a point where we can get the funds required that we need to accelerate other projects. Oh yes - and the money from the warrants when these are exercised. Remember these warrant holders have a vested interest also in ensuring the drills keep turning. The company could even try for some kind of commercial loan if they find a willing backer or syndicate. The permutations are endless and we have GH, the money man / the deal maker / our MD / our main man at the helm - it is all going to come good. The only thing in my mind that is off the table is any outright sale of GGP at this point - many will disagree but the potential upside is too great in my mind for the BoD not to play this out all the way. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for them as well as us!

Not because of the movement itself but we should get an indication of what will trigger the II sticky money coming in here and that will be a future barometer for our next JV, whatever that might be. We are in the middle of some excellent learning opportunities for what lies ahead of us for those of us with the patience to hold or those that want to wait on the side lines. My recommendation here is whatever your strategy is, take note now and learn for tomorrow.

I am not sure I understand some thoughts about being played along. The results from the drills and the intention of NC in fast forwarding the JV are unequivocal. The SP movements are down to shareholder actions. The 2 are only loosely related in so much the traders see an opportunity to take advantage of an upward movement. These traders do not give 2 hoots about the long term potential of this company - only the points along the journey that create interest and movement. There will be some new investors here that will be concerned over the weekend because they have just got in and above 3.25. They shouldn't be as long as they followed the golden rule of not investing more than they could lose (although at any price paid so far I do not personally see that as a risk) and the other being about time - personally my view is the next sustainable leap will be nearing the end of 2020 and the MRE unless another JV is entered into with one of the other prospects. So I am not sure why anyone would think we are being taken for a ride - the other point is of course, we all joined the ride willingly. I for one am truly thrilled that I joined this ride and I was here and in deep for the Newmont experience.
