Are some thinking that the institutions forward sold around 1p knowing they could replace at 0.925?

Who would like to be a fly on the wall when GR has the conversation with the institution who just made a sizeable paper loss? Anyone expecting MF's production video in the short term? It's going to be interesting to listen to a future interview between MF and GR.

No disguising a disappointing (understatement) RNS.

Remember rules of investment - time being of one of the top ones - you don't crystallise profit or loss until you sell.

Thanks Daniel and yes I have been trying to be uber conservative to highlight the opportunity here. Q2 production figures will reveal all when they arrive in August sometime and of course funding news should be here by then as well.

One obvious mistake on my part - NP should read GP - Gross Profit not Net Profit

The only surprise is why the SP isn't higher imo.

Just reminded myself by looking at twitter of the latest picture of a gold bar they posted May 19 - 5.172kg - or 182oz

Let's do round maths - 5kg - 176 oz

Lets be conservative and say 5kg per week at the moment = 9150 oz per annum (targeting 24K oz pa initially of course)

Conservative POG USD 1900 - AISC 1250 = 650 GP per oz = USD 5.95M NP / GBP 4.81M

Current MC = GBP 7M

Moving forward - lets say 6 months and production is 50% more after funding and partial enhancements - and AISC getting closer to forecast but not there at say 1200 and POG average is 1950 .... 13700 oz pa / USD 10.3M NP / GBP 8.3M

Lets go further and 24K oz - per annum - AISC now 1150 - POG constant at 1950 - / USD 19.2 NP / GBP 15.5M

Add in possible increases in MRE resources.....

What will happen with the POG?

Lots of unknowns including near term funding detail.

We aren't flavour of the month yet but look at the way that the company is methodically going through the gears.

Please excuse my ignorance- is the plan to physically ship by sea? If so if the plant is not optimised as hoped but still producing could it be taking longer than anticipated to have enough to make the shipment economical? Please excuse if this is a naive question.

A few things come to mind:

1. Yes - we need news. I still think that MF is being asked to hold back the production element of the video until production has reached some form or steady state and it will coincide with an RNS. Whilst it is not a pilot, clearly production is in its infancy.

2. Institutional investors lining up - they will know what is going on and the future growth potential to make money on their 0.925p SP investment. If GR does the dirty on them I would be surprised as he would struggle in the future to go back to that well if additional funds were required.

3. Look at the recent exploration videos - a tantalising prospect for the future

4. We are talking about a delay in days at the moment from anticipated updates - nothing frankly in mining time lines but traders here were banking on a profit within 7 / 10 days. Genuine investors I suspect are more relaxed.

5. It seems like some larger holders are actually forcing the SP down through large sells with a view to probably picking up larger amounts at a cheaper price. Part of the game.

6. This board has degenerated into personal insults - achieves absolutely nothing other than turning off genuine investors looking to gain knowledge.

7. Look away and tune in next week to see whether we have had an update and in the meantime get on with life.

In terms of the outside company being engaged, this is entirely normal for a relatively small outfit like Caracal - they need an independent company to be able to come along and verify the tonnage / grades which I am sure that the finance company will also want for their due diligence. Much larger outfits will have their own in house teams that would be able to do the lions share of this work but we know that GCAT have a lean management team and it will be more economical to outsource I'm sure. When the plan is produced I am sure that Robbie will be sharing with the market and this should be another building block to restoring confidence that the company has the capability, capacity and resource to be able to meet their strategic objectives.

Maybe it’s just me but can’t help but can’t help but think GR is holding MF back on posting the process video until the RNS hits for max coverage- so maybe this week for news ?

See it for what it is - the SP drop has been caused by traders and not terrible news. Its not helped that GR hasn't put something out on the shipping expectation but come on - we are talking a few days and this production process is huge. There is a total disconnect at the moment at the moment between facts and the SP and most of it is driven by fear or greed of the shareholders rather than activity on the ground.

I will be slightly bemused over the weekend - at the shenanigans in the market at the moment. An impatient lot of gamblers in the main it seems rather than investors.

If anyone thinks that GR is not going to want to correct the current (todays) fall in the SP, I suspect there are some new institutional investors who are watching this with interest and may just let their feelings known if they think there is an issue.

However, as I said earlier - they will know more than most and I suspect that they will be entirely relaxed knowing whats around the corner. Pure speculation on my part of course.
