neds come and go. we do not know what value if any she was adding. anyone sat in board meetings with a ned? i have - they can be quite a mixed bag from my experience - picking up circa £25k year (i have no idea what they were paid at gcat and haven't bothered to look at the accounts) for maybe a couple of hours 'work' each month, attending a board meeting. our new chairman will be ensuring that the right level of support is maintained on the board in my view and it does create more room at the top table as mentioned below.....

as an aside - what a great buy-in price at the moment - whilst i understand the argument of waiting until the prospectus is out, given the sp is virtually at the price the hnwi's are buying in at, it is safe to say they they feel the true value will be in the warrants, well after any dilution and i would suggest well in excess of 0.6. so for simple maths lets say that there was massive dilution - lets say 100% just for giggles (i personally think that as time goes on mill end debt will be being paid down and so less dilution than there might have been) - 3.76b shares (remember i did say for giggles) - at 0.6 that would be an mc of £22m - but i reckon the hnwi's will want a lot more than that and given by the end of 2024 we should have kili production of at least 24k oz pa and possibly a tz asset well on track to production with a jv partner and who knows what increased mre...... i think it's not unreasonable to look into the crystal ball and imagine an mc of double that - so 1.2p and of course if dilution comes in far less, then you can inflate the sp.

just my *** packet musings this morning - feel free to rip my numbers apart - no offence will be taken and i might learn in the process.

Chaps I am fairly sure that it is JORC reporting requirement to update (even if unchanged) the resource number annually:

15. Companies must review and publically report their Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves annually. The annual review date must be nominated by the Company in its Public Reports of Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves and the effective date of each Mineral Resource and Ore Reserve statement must be shown. The Company must discuss any material changes to previously reported Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves at the time of publishing updated Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves.

So if you look at the previous RNS's there was an update resource announcement 12/7/22, so yesterdays update would fall into line with the annual update. So I think that they killed 2 birds with one stone but the driver behind the timing was actually the JORC update as opposed it being used for any other purpose.

Just my take on the matter.

On the resource numbers - I believe it is a requirement to give the market these figures each year - even if there is no movement.

For those of you who are interested in the trades going through you can always go to the London Stock Exchange website - look up PREM and you can download all the trade data for today (with a 15 minute delay) - its very revealing if you out into excel and filter by trade size. There is a lot of money in play at the moment.

Stupid - I doubt it - look at some of the size of trades. Manipulators - very likely - big money is like the lion moving the herd towards the pride. Doesn't normally have a happy ending for some.

A reassuring tweet that everything is moving in the right direction. I know it feels like everything is moving slowly but as the saying goes, slow and steady wins the race. There really has been amazing progress in the last 6 months - makes you wonder where we will be in another 6 months time. In my onion the MC will be multiples from where it is now but that's just my view.

To my way of thinking, the fact that neither Mill End or Orca are jumping up and down and are waiting patiently instead, makes me believe that they are in a win win situation and have a high degree of confidence that Caracal will be delivering on the strategy- either they get cash from gold sales or stock that will appreciate near term. Win win.
