Agree that £26k isnt an institutional completed order but could be part of an accumulation of small orders. Instos dont just buy in big chunks, otherwise they could only buy when a large seller appeared. I presume the market maker is mopping up small PI sales and will then book out a larger fill when complete or at the end of the day.

Obviously I have no certainty on this VCKP, but it has happened a week after the whole crew were in London doing rounds and rounds of investor presentations. So I would guess (and hope) that its institutions finally coming round to the story.

I think they dropped the cut off so that they could get to the doubling of MRE2 vs MRE. IMHO they should have waited to include some more recent holes and kept the same cut off. All a bit rushed for some reason.

The CuEq grade for Alpala at 0.20 cut off is 0.60% in the indicated and 0.35% in the inferred category. Can we all agree on that please?

Agree. Cant see anyone backing down on this tiff. Time to move on. Shame as the discussion on the equivalence with Teck sale was a useful one I thought.
Maybe we will see how SOLG performs on an up day after doing so well in the carnage.

Page 21 of the M&M presentation I thought made it clear. 2050mt @ 0.41% in the indicated and 900mt @ 0.27% in the inferred.
Or have I misread that?

I think this is a very impressive performance today. It tells me that the weak sellers have gone and those who are spooked by weak markets arent selling, or at least not SOLG. Not much volume today but it will be tough to find many buyers in this carnage, even long term institutions. Over the past cupla weeks I have sold quite a bit of stuff and sold again today. But SOLG is forever so am only a buyer at 35p, which I am not sure we will see again. IMHO!!

As you know I am not a believer in any of the price manipulation stories. However spoofing (regularly placing orders that you have no intention of getting filled, to distort the market - Good Till Near) is illegal. Pretty difficult to prove unless one sees it on a regular basis. You could of course report it to the StockEx or the FCA if you really believe it.
There are many reasons why someone might place an order and then pull it so it doesnt always mean some skullduggery going on.
I prefer to believe the market is generally sound, otherwise I wouldnt be here.

Besides the obvious cost, I dont think there is a limit on the number of rigs they can run. The problem is they dont have the permits to drill elsewhere yet.
Also I think they can do all the necessary prep work for Alpala going into production, and drilling up other prospects simultaneously. I dont think there is an overlap of personnel.
So in theory at 10k p/mo they could find other Alpalas within the 2 yr standstill agreement, and have a feasibility study complete.
Thats why I am here, not for a 3rd party bid in 2019.

And one of the worst sovereign risks for the o&g industry in the last Labour govt was the UK. The constant tinkering with the fiscal terms meant that any IRR was just a guess! So its not just undeveloped countries.

In my direct experience of the O&G business you explore with equity and develop with debt. So anyone who develops Alpala will need some debt. Would be nice to see regional Latam banks in any syndicate, and the central bank of Ecuador would be better still. Long way off that, but conversations are happening.

S4. I agree that £1 ain’t great for NM nor investors nor me vs opportunity. But it is almost three times the sp. We can pick any price, but it usually has some relation to the mkts price at that time. I am more than happy to be greedy but also need to be realistic.
If we are talking about prices and deals in years to come then £4 might be cheap if we have multiple Alpalas.
