Another broker cuts ITV but still has 84p as their new price.

So is it in the interest of the bod's to put out a negative trading up-date so AA. so it looks less attractive to anyone and the bidders walk away and safe guarding their jobs Or is it better to put out a pumped up rns to make AA. look more attractive and get a higher price.

On a day when the ftse finished down about 75 points I think ITV have done well, perhaps tomorrow if / when the ftse will be up 75 points we will see 70p again.

Well it's now blue but how high is it going today?

We all keep talking about an offer etc, but surely any party must want to see the AA. books before anyone make any offer and that hasn't happened yet, or has it ?
The BODS's only telling us part of what's going on.

Even given the rns on results today I think the only reason ITV is down today is because the ftse is down some 90 points, once the markets turn for the better then ITV will bounce back up.
I think the city has already priced in the results, after all if they didn't drop the divi then they would have been rubbished for that wouldn't they. can't win iether way, so onwards and up wards.

Do they want to sell AA at say 50p-60p or do they want to stop any sale and launch a rights issue / placing next week to stop it in it's tracks.?

I think this will turn blue very soon today and could finish up to 62p-63p.

I guess it's as expected with profits down but still profits and look at the debt
Down to £783m from £893m in Dec 2019 and down from £1,195m in June 2019, so that's much better.

Should start to see a big increase in buy volume very soon , then the sp will fly.

Why would any broker come out with a change of view to buy from hold 1 day before a company posts results.
Does that mean they have already seen or had imput into those results, they must be good or have good info in them because if they are bad then the broker will have to change their position again very strange. !!!!!!!

This is normal for everyone that holds an interest in AA. above a % to make it known etc, but doesn't stop anyone increasing their stake while they can.

I think AA have been very crafty here, they have let the bidders know that there are 3 bidders and AA will it self put out a rights issue or placing to raise money and clear some debt if any bidders do not make a good offer, so they must make that offer or lose out all together.
Will be very interesting over the next few days.

On the 11th, so what's the difference between a trading up-date and a trading statement? does that mean they have something more important to say to up-date the market on.? I wonder.

So now a trading statement on the 11th Aug now this will be interesting . will any bidders try to put a bid in before that date hoping to steal a march on the others and also if the trading statement is good the sp will go up and so cost any bidders more money.
On the other hand if the trading statement is bad then the sp will drop and any bidders might just walk away. or will they wait?

So which way will it go?
Is / Has AA already arranged a pre agreed placing for what 25p but that would need to be billions of shares and could be a consolidation to 10p.
Does / Did all parties know the other parties were interested in making bids or have they just found out today puting them in competition with each other?
