Well such a simple reply and rubbish.
I have never shorted and never will, all shorters should be shot.

We have to remember that no one has yet put in a firm bid at the right price for the bod's to put forward to the shareholders, and these are just potential bidders at a very cheap price and once a true value price is talked about they might all drop out.

Many new investors have bought into AA. over the last 1-2 weeks thinking they are all going to make a killing on the sp with offers of 40p -60p.
But the BOD's might after looking at any real offers decide to reject them all and stay with their original plan to re-finance and the sp fall back to 25p-30p. There is NO G/Tee that any offer will be at the right price is there.

So is it already too late to buy more and make a profit once you have paid 38p+ ?

That is of cause before AA. come out and say they will raise their own money with an already agreed placing at 25p and you guessed it down we go.

I guess every man and his dog will be trying to buy more shares at 32p- 36p first thing on monday hoping the sp goes up to 40p within a few days.

What if the BOD's don't want to sell and come out with an alternative plan to raise the money themselves and keep their jobs.?????

The way this is going it looks more like 60p+ to get the prize !!!!!!

Bidders have until 1st Sept as a deadline to make a full bid or walk away but now if Apollo have just shown their interest and want to make a bid, do the rules allow them a later deadline of say 8th Sept.
So they can sit back and wait for the other parties to show their hands and then make their own higher bid after the 1spt. Is that right or wrong, but I guess it depends on any bid being made and supported by the bods before hand.

Monday should be interesting and next week should see someone make a move on a takeover, I know some were waiting for the trading up-date but now there is not going to be one why would any bidder wait until the 3 rd September deadline. Surely anyone really interested will try to strike first with a knockout price before the others get in there. As far as Albert Bridge, they could be just trying to make a few bob on the rise but don't the rules say that anyone with 7% + can ask for a place on the board but that can also be declined by the board.

So I take it you mean this ( the Company confirmed that it is in discussions with a number of parties in relation to a wide range of potential refinancing options, including the possibility of a cash offer being made for the Company.
So raising finance is first then the possibility of a cash offer.
Where does it say they are making it easey or reccomending any offer.
No Raising money is the first option. read into that what you will.

Going by their staements they seem to to be more worried about the £950m debt due in 2023 , so it wouldn't surprise me if they arranaged a placing / issue for say £600m-£900m at 25p ish just to cover that and then trade their way out of things.
That would stop any bidders in their tracks and take care of any money worries over the next 2-3 years. But that's just my view.

They have already said they were / are looking at way to raise more money in time, If you were one / all of these directors why would you let someelse buy you out and then raise their own moeny.

Yes there are always good reasons why they do things, although I would have thought it was in the best interest of the shareholders and the city to see what the latest position was.

Is that so they don't give the bidders any more incentive to offer less, or are they trying to flush out an offer now as the bidders do not have to wait until Tuesday.?

Just look at the way the BOD's of Debs rejected MA £200m to save the company but instead chose the banks deal and it all went T*** up just because the BOD's didn't like MA and the way he wanted to take controlUnfortunately many directors seem to work for them selves and their jobs more so than look after the interests of the shareholders first. I hope that won't happen with AA.

We all know that companies play all sorts of dirty tricks to get their way regardless of what is sometimes better for the shareholders, and if you think they don't your not living in the real world.
Tuesday will be interesting.
