Results yes good in parts with much better cash flow and debt will copme down with ITP payment but just look at the £1.6bn loss for the 6 months, not sure the SP will respond positive.

Do brokers and their analysts know what they are talking about?
I always thought these analysts were semi-professionals and all read company results and facts with the same level of knowledge but clearly not.
Let’s just take ITV when they announced their results it was in print and available for all to see, so if these analysts read the same info how can different broker houses come up with completely different numbers.
From July Credit Suisse raises ITV price target to 118 (116) pence - 'outperform'
Deutsche Bank cuts ITV price target to 90 (100) pence - 'hold'
Now
Berenberg cuts ITV price target to 56 (66) pence - 'sell'
Some must see a £1 and call it a £1
Some see a £1 and call it 50p
Unless ITV numbers have changed in the last 2 weeks ?

I understand that ITV have just put a bid in for next years TV rights to show womens world cup away from BBC.
Now that would be good.

Goodness Tom I think we should call you Mr Gloom, I thought you were a man of the world and yet it sounds like it's the end of the world as we know it.
Whatever happens the world stock markets will carry on trying to make money, ok there might be a little set back for a few weeks/ months but life goes on. It's just a question of picking out the correct stocks, look at RR. today they are up and there will always be good news coming out from somewhere. ITV will be over £1 by Dec. IMO

Yes I think the best thing now is just sit tight, look every year between what May - Sept the normal market is very slow and with falls normally anyway and with the world now worried about china etc anything can and will happen.
But stocks like ITV and RR. should bounce back no trouble in Oct -Dec.. So i 'm with you and just hold tight or even buy more which is what I did yesterday with ITV .

Hi Tom , I think that was the correct thing to do as I sold a bigchumk on Friday at 74.5 and hoping to buy back in at 70p ish.
I don't think it's the time to just sit on things waiting for them to get better.

But at the end of the day it means nothing and you sound like you take life too serious, the government and all goverments will do what they think is right at the time they can do it and will not be in agreement with probably 50% of the people.
It's all a big game and you just have to play your part and try to make a little money without trying to change anything.
I am not sure just how old you are and what you have already done but you soon realize that none of us are important and things happen whatever you think is right or wrong. But I for one think all power / water should be goverment owned for the people without any union power and run for the people but that never worked before so it is what it is now. If CNA can go up to £1.20 and I can make a little who gives a fig after that.

Why not nationalisation, they can do it at £1.40 a share and I would be happy.

It's just not looking good is it, sales down, making a loss, and Debt increased to £1.2bn
even when the new money comes in it will NOT cover the debt, can only see this going down more.
Could this go bust again as maybe there just isn't enogh room / demand for another top class car range that makes a profit.

So Nissin foods now hold 24% , getting closer to that magic number of a complete takeover , what do you think £1.50+

when broken down to different people the amount of shares is only a very small % of total, but if they have agreed to back whatever the boss wants to do every small % of voting will help at some stage. And maybe there is a long term plan where he will need every vote.

The trouble with all shares is that when they fall they seem to fall big time fast but then seem to take forever to recover that fall. So it could take another 3-6 months to get back to £1.20 ish even with good broker up-dated targets.

At least now THG seem to hve a bit more freedom to do something , so let's get an RNS with some action on itThen maybe the SP will respond to 80p ish.

I guess some / many are thinking this will go down again before it goes up higher so should they sell now and try to buy back in at 70p , but i think those days have now passed and it won't fa;ll back again now until it's topped 80p first.

I think the days of building a great british company are gone, the city doesn't give a fig about companies they only care about making money by shorting as much as possible at the expence of companies .

My guess is we need to just wait and see what happens after the Con/ Call , say 10.00am
