Well this RNS confirms everything that is about to happen.
The company is saying they will keep the doors open for any customer trade while they find the money but that will wipe out all shareholders. So get out now if you can there will be nothing left within days is my guess.

The money is gone forever, not locked in.
If any large sharehold has to put in more than the company is worth to keep it going it's then cheaper to let it go bust.
Once the SP has gone to 2p ish with a M/Cap of £25m and £2-3bn in debt. it's all over.

If cine are NOT going bust they will put out an rns today,

So why are all yesterdays and todays buyers not all buying millions more shares at this silly price to turn things around ?

I think everyone should congratulate the BOD's for this very big warning , In connection with these initiatives, the Group remains in active discussions with various stakeholders and is evaluating various strategic options to both obtain additional liquidity and potentially restructure its balance sheet through a comprehensive deleveraging transaction. Any deleveraging transaction will likely result in very significant dilution of existing equity interests in Cineworld.
Now many companies would not give any warning of a big rights issue or placing and catching all the shareholders out, but Cine have tried their best so if current shareholders don't care about their money why should the BOD's after all to them the company is already dead. Any dilution is now likely to be much lower level as the SP goes down more.

I have bought and sold these many times over the last year, and seen this happen many many times in over 40 years of trading where I have lost money and made tried with many companies doing rights issues / consolidations etc.
I will galdly try to help advise others where I can but in the end if no one wants any help advice why should I give a fig it's not my money in Cine. I will just carry on making more money in others stock.

For many of those new ish investors that see other posters saying it's going to bounce / great buy etc etc.
You have to remember that many of these posters may / probably do hold stock and will do say anything they can in the hope of just pushing up the sp a little bit more by many new investors that they can then sell at the higher price.

This board today is full of dreamers, some saying a great takeover target of 20p-25p others saying shorters will soon finish.
From what I have seen over the last 40 years the shorters will / could take this down to 2p before it goes belly up. also it could be a takeover target at 20p-25p after they have issued some 300-400m shares at 3p plus carried out a consolidation.
Is it just me or is this board filled with dreamers that don't know what's going on. !!!!!

I think it's all about time now, the longer the BOD's leave this the lower the SP will go and if they wait until sept then the SP could be 5p-6p and they will find it harder to get this away what could have been say 8p-9p.
We have seen this so many times in the past where companies just don't act quick enough.

Clued, I think I would try to raise maybe £300m-£400m to try to stay in business to cover the next 6-12 months, but they will find so difficult to get that away and in the end say 3-4 weeks end up in the administrators hands where it will be split up on the cheap.

and you could have made an extra £10 if you waited a few more mins.

We currently have a M/Cap of what about £110m and we have £Bns of debt. So what does it need to get through the next 6 months in terms of cash and new shares plus a consolidation Maybe 50-100 times new shares at what 2p-5p max so where does that leave the SP ? 3p before consolidation then 30p or £3 when consolidated by say 100.

shazabo, I don't think they had any option. It looks like they have been arranging this for a while and must be close to an announcement by affraid sky news or someone will spill the beans well before the results, so lose lose whatever happens.
I think the main rns for the share issue will be this week or next what's the point now of holding back.

Faulkes, so your £45k will only be worth about £12k when they dilute and consolidate.
