Interesting Carrington. I suspect you are right. My wife cites examples of friends of hers who boast of clothes shopping at MKS: something they would have not have done before(I mean, the boasting) One said that the silk underwear was better or as good as Intimissi (cannot spell it) I suspect this is a super defensive stock with a core clientele pretty immune from anything this gov does and a new class of buyer happy to downscale

We are all heading into unknown territory. What is concerning is China and other emerging economies detaching from the dollar and building up gold reserves. The implications for the dollar don't look good

Badjob all good points and reinforced by a management team that will want to surprise the market. Sorting out IT also gives the opportunity to look at a mass of other cost savings that may have been overlooked.

I think the point to make is that though one need to compare like for like, it is not the B and end all. MKS has been through a traumatic period, with the loyalty of customers tested. It appears that the brand loyalty is untarnished, hence Tomcat's good news that the stores are packed and tills ringing.
