I think you have summed up the situation in a succinct way.

The Trustpilot rebuttal should have said, "the claims made are untrue in every respect and we are taking legal advice". I have been a financial PR advisor to a multitude of FTSE clients. My advice to the CEO would have been..."is there any substance"? If he replied NO. Then I would have said then bring in Mischon de Reya! There is more to this and Glowacki is right. It could be a FCA matter.

Not sure you are correct. If Grizzly can be proven to have made statements about Trustpilot that are unfounded and damaging to its reputation then I believe there would be grounds for action. I am not a lawyer but my feeling is an English court would take a serious view of an attempt to make defamatory claims for commercial benefit

Even before this excellent report the stock was hard hit....down 50%.What was that based on? Sounds a real excreta show. Be wary... with all this publicity tgere will be a mass of other negative reports.

Oh Katstrangler...use your head! You report to Action Fraud and then hear nothing. Why? Well, as a City of London fraud specialist said to me...."they get 30k reports a month". TP is just full of positive reports generated by the companies.

Can you not read the link in my comment? Exactly what do you mean by authoritative? Think about the direction of my comment. By allowing a convicted fraudster to use the site, you collaborate. Where TP has direct and obvious evidence of a company being dishonest, it should put up a notice saying "we have rejected this company's attempt to join the platform". The fact that Maker & Son is continuing to defraud customers means that not all customers read reviews. Grizzly have TP by the sphericals. I imagine Grizzly is now getting a flood of evidence backing them. Sell....sell...sell

Surprised that TP has got away with collaborating with fraudsters for so long. I warned the company three years ago that this company was serially defrauding customers and placing hundreds of false positive reviews. Hi David, I am vaguely thinking Portugal if only because my son is there. I don't really want to move but I just feel even a change of government will not cure deep-seated issues. I cannot see how you can remove undeserved benefits without risking major social unrest. We have also have populations -here legal or otherwise who have no intention of assimilating nor any affection for the country. A really difficult one to crack.
