A silly and naive question but could RR ever become a bid target

I think it sums up exactly we bought RR in the first place(albeit belatedly on my part) and why we should just sit back knowing that there is a substantial moat and, more importantly, a CEO with a hatred of failure. I wish I had the courage of my convictions and bought more. In a few months I will be moaning to my wife who will tell me to shut up. This is a stellar company affected by market events....like all things it will pass

I used to be in PR and all the lunching and dining was on the client. Now I have to pay for it I refuse. Anyway, my hearing is bad and I cannot bear noisy restaurants.

I didn't panic sell but I missed the boat. Not following one's intuition is such a bad error but It does lead me to dwell on the issue of having a site mixed with traders and LTH. As a LTH I can be distracted by the trader view. I am not a trader. I just don't have the traits that are needed. I think of my RR a bit like my Britannia 1oz. Something over the medium term that will not cause me pain even if not a massive profit

Carrington's view resonates with me. Restaurants are now ridiculously overpriced. I hate spending more than £30 a head for food, which costs a few pounds to produce. Restaurants are suffering because its traditional customer base is shrinking. The money they previously made on wine is not there as people drink far less. Also, in tough times people draw inwards and the home becomes a place of security for family and close friends. MKS has tapped into this ever-growing market. I wish I had the guts to but the shares now. I doubt they will ever be cheaper

Fender ....you are a good chap but your hot Italian blood gets the better of you sometimes. You have SP spotting talents but in your enthusiasm, you can get carried away. Remember...you are a trader and many here are not. I think MKS is a great co and if the price moves 3-5% either way that's fine as I TRY to treat it like my 1oz Britannia's...there for the 3-year haul. Same with RR. I have tried to trade but am temperamentally unsuited
