I wish you could send me that Kool Aid....I have a choice...your opinion about the ramifications of the AI bubble bursting and not impacting every global equity of David Solomon, the boss of the world's most powerful bank, Goldmans. Hold on, whilst I scratch and ponder....I think I better take a chance and go with Solomon's world view! The $ is debasing and the US is trillions in debt. The world is very unsafe and the UK falling apart. Call me a coward but prefer that than having wealth demolished

Not sure whether any stock is worth buying at the moment. The macro economic climate looks too uncertain. Reeves is going to cane everyone and the AI bubble burst will cause global repercussions . I am in no hurry to buy but doubtless I will be proved wrong

I wish I could share the sanguinity of all here. I love MKS and I have been a LTH for ages but got frightened off when it hit 400 and got out.

I want to get back in but am not comfortable at this level for no other reasons there are severe headwinds ahead for this country with one of the most inept governments in my 60 year memory. This country really is a basket case unless you work for local or national gov, on benefits or an illegal....in those instances you are protected. As a matter of interest, I looked up the career backgrounds of the Cabinet and government ministers....with little exception this bunch of losers have all worked in the law or running charities. Says it all. Reform may not be the solution but better than the options

I have got in and out of this company at the wrong times. Instead of just sticking to my resolution that this was a company I wanted to have and to hold for at least 3 years I succumbed to fear and greed at the times Buffett says you shouldn't. I am not going to make the same mistake. As I said before I can look at every plane in the sky and think, "there goes my revenue jet stream". I bought back £95K's worth the other day and am feeling a bit bruised but I suspect this temporary pain will be forgotten in a few months time. Rare to find a company whose brilliant well moated products are matched by a superlative leader

This is my position. In my ignorance/stupidity I sold at £10 despite always planning to stick with RR for at least 2 years. So, I lost out.

Not owning RR is dangerous. It has all the pluses that Buffett loves...the moat etc

Every time I see a jet overhead I think to myself I own a bit of its service income. I have always felt that there should be 2 LSE ....one for traders and one for LTH. Anyway, this is a great British company. I won't make the mistake of taking a short-term views and will treat like gold..

Retirement, you make a few valid points, and that begs the question as to the types of audience who settle here. I am in your segment. I choose a stock I feel fits the Buffet approach and think long term. If I do trade it is because I feel I should slightly diversify my risks(being a non-analytical investor I feel it important) The other segment here is the day/short term trader. Their field of view is very different and I often wonder whether the clash is so great that there should be separate boards to manage separate investment goals?

An issue with these boards are the divergent interests. A board cannot serve two masters...one lot that trades daily and another buying a quality stock with the intention of holding. In not having a separation of interests the board gets infested by weirdos like Longterm investor who seems neithe long term or an investor.

Fender you tend to get it right but not sure about Mr Horse.My only big concern is that they have had sufficient time to bullet proof systems. Any repeat however minor will not be forgiven. I wonder if price rises matter too much. My wife is obsessive about prices but seems unconcerned about paying a small premium

Whatever one feels about MKS it enjoys a good solid moat around it. Even in hard times its middle aged, affluent middle Class customer base will never desert it. Where do they go? Waitrose? Not really. It will take Waitrose years to come close. Of course the SP will recover we just need to stop listening to these ignorant SP pundits who keep calling the SP wrong.
