Today’s RNS refers to the second phase II trial for this next drug candidate.
It gets v limited space in the corporate presentation, noting the first trial is in progress and this one in planning....it was not on the potential events in 2020 -21 slide.
Still early days for this one....but another reminder that the company has more in its pipeline.

The pt population is around 10000 pa in China.

And a 52wk high in the US today....whether that will stick remains to be seen but enjoyable nonetheless.

Possibly the bottom has been reached..

The corporate presentatIon does not appear to have changed much. I always turn to the pipeline news page first. It seems we are entering a period where the news will be largely expected such as the approval of surufatinib based on the SANET ep, or is relatively dull such as the commencement of ph1 studies.
The more noteworthy stories will be progress about extending fruquintinib to gastric cancer and the strategy for Savolitinib - which is dependent on AZ decision making. Hopefully these will provide some inspiration to drive the shares higher.

Still a buy.....AWest (no relation as far as I know) should take advantage of the pause and dollar weakness to buy.

At this point there is no evidence, only speculation, that a vaccine may get Early emergency use authorisation in the US. I think this is a highly unlikely outcome but if it becomes reality please remind us how foolish this is and how much the manufacturer is exposed.

I bought here bc I saw the mouthwash transaction and asked my dentist wife if the product was any good. She said it was but did not have the Big advertising bucks behind it like others. I thought it would do better in a more focused portfolio......that bit seems to be working out. I also researched the management team and found they had previously built and then sold a business (Sinclair). So they know what they are doing to find brands build them and then sell on.
I was hoping for a doubling of the SP over 5 years....it is nearly double what I paid about 3 years ago.

I am not good at selling so I will probably end up holding on for the management exit that might not happen......if Jerry leaves that may prompt me to sell.....not that I know the man, but I guess it is what he says that is keeping me invested.

Just an observation but the AIM spread seems to be reduced and the price often lower than the ADS.
Does not seem to be worth the extra FX costs of buying ADS if based in the UK.

Is it true that the az/ox trial is sub scale......I thought it was in several countries.....maybe the UK leg on its own does not meet the FDA 30000, but it would be odd not to plan to meet this number for the richest market.

This may be a trial where there is a common sense idea but the science will not be strong enough to have much effect on bodies like WHO, PHE.
As they are treating pts with Covid, it seems common sense that if they breathe out through a throat that has some ability to impact the virus that the exhaled air may have lower levels of effective virus. So like wearing a mask it might help others rather than the user.
If this is the case there may be an uptake in places that require hand sanitiser to add mouth sanitising to the regime, but a gargle and spit regime will meet resistance so they will need to make it into a spray Mechanism.
The main limitation is going to be duration of effect.....the mouth will be a difficult environment to sustain a presence of the chemicals so it may be of limited use.
Science may suggest a benefit, but practicalities may get in the way of adoption.

Not excited by this news - but like the direction the company is going.

Today’s RNS confirms 3 papers to be presented in mid September.
We will see results from the two SANET trials.....should show why surufatinib is getting priority and rolling reviews.

The fruquintinib study is an enabler for FRESCO2. I expect it to show no difference in US patients compared to the China data in fresco.
