Well they are lengthening the duration of their funding by moving 75m from 2025 to 2031.
The redeemed bonds must trading below or close to the 92.5% value there should be a gain arising from this discount but I would assume this will be given back in the new terms. There may also be some capital benefit of the new bonds are higher quality capital.

Of more significance to me is the reduction in SLA ownership.....this represents a change in strategy for their funds rather than a corporate strategic stake....but explains the recent downward pressure on the share price. Holding on for the upturn.....when it comes but not committing more funds.

Thanks Godshare this will delay rejuvenation of Proleukin, hence the hit. Iovance was recently touted as able to generate a 50%uplift in revenue.

Iovance seems to be in dispute about how to measure the concentration of the therapy rather than effectiveness, so I this maybe a safety concern as like a drug dose there will be a minimised recommended dose to reduce side effects. Still better to have this now rather than submit and get a complete response letter.
Hopeful this is only a delay rather than a terminal blow.

In other sector news Rothesay shareholders have gone from 3 to 2 major players each with 49%.
MassMut and Singapore GIC have bought Blackstone out.
Values Rothesay at 5.75bn Approx 10% of Assets.

FWIW Lgen had a bigger fall from the mid August highs. It is now moving back into line with Aviva and Other financials. Aviva holding its own recently against competitors. Potential to outperform here in the short term.
Not sure selling the family silver outright is the best way forward, but retaining a substantial stake in a larger entity may demonstrate the value of international businesses more clearly - as shown in the Singapore deal. Smart deal making is what is needed.....off to a promising start.

Pru is now a USD stock. As such we can expect a lot of SP movement to offset changes in exchange rates as such it is a good hedge against an adverse UK economic environment.

A much needed appointment. The US regulatory team appear to have been excellent at handling FDA interactions so far, let’s hope the commercialisation appointments are equally effective.
It will be interesting to see the approach adopted to marketing/promoting distribution outside China.
In house or partnered is the immediate issue at hand for surufatinib but other products will be along soon. CH hinted at a small focused team able to cover the major centres.

Regarding Elunate, it will be interesting to see what change the transition to HCM brings. CH was hopefully of getting to a 40%share of the target patient population over a couple of years which is a multiple of recent sales. We will get to see the first effects of this in the FY20 results.

The important point is that there will be paperwork For the doctor to get someone (NHS, insurer or individual) to pay. Hence volumes are likely to be lower until fully licensed. However CLIN has an established system cliniport to support doctors with the supply of the drugs.
The differentiation and promotion of the SNG solution will be key to get doctors to persevere with the bureaucracy.

Clinigen should have expertise to help SNG. They may be helping out plan the Phase III trials to get regulatory approvals, the MAP should help sell the product to named patients in hospital....likely to be privately paid for rather than state supported so volumes will be lower than when this treatment is fully licensed and state funded....at which point Clin also has distribution capabilities.

CLIN should help SNG accelerate their product through regulatory approval and distribution...If the product is successful .the deal is positive for both sides.....but as in all things the distributors may make more risk adjusted profit....

There seemed to be an expectation of a quicker approval because much of the manufacturing facility is already assessed plus this was a prioritised review by the Chinese authorities....but that was all pre pandemic and their resources may have been otherwise engaged.
The corporate presentation still expects something soon and launch this year. Fingers crossed it will be emerging sooner rather than later....

Biggest benefit is keeping CLIN in the news with a positive story.
A MAP is a common thing for CLIN....and aside from their own portfolio is the greatest good the company does by making available treatments early or in unlicensed countries.

Many financials up 4-6% today.
Unlikely just reinvestment driving today....more likely is hope for a breakthrough in the EU FTA talks, £ gained v $ as a result

I feel the question of aim or the main board is one for the LSE to resolve. It seems strange to allow large value companies to be able to take advantage of AIM regulations long after they ceased to be the sort of organisations the AIM was established for.
a rule could be developed such that companies that trade for more than XX months at a market cap that would place them in top xxx of Main board should be required to list on the main board.
The cos impacted would have significant notice that they need to move.....of course the LSE might fear the companies delist in London and go elsewhere....
