I doubt we are going to get a trading update now until the mid JUly annual update ahead of the results in august/September.

After several buys At lower levels I am now just in profit. Having seen CVSG go from 5 to 20 in very little time I am loathe to sell at these levels, some news on Proleukin, good sales of Erwin are and the restart of trial activity should all boost the SP from here. If we get to £10 my confirmation bias will kick in a prevent me from selling...

Share needs some encouragement to head higher.....progress with meter installation and CaRE assets would be good to hear about.

I feel this share will respond well once the RSA makes progress with tackling the pandemic.
There are mixed reports in the press reporting a new wave and also inoculation starting for 60+.
The southern winter is commencing....the next few months will be important but they should be on a better path come October and their hot season.

The last time I remember them doing an update around the presentation of clinical results was a significant surufatinib disclosure. It seemed to be hastily arranged for the Monday after the show.
This is preplanned, I wonder what they have ready this time? Hope it will be a positive surprise.

I Am expecting a sales update on China q1 and what they are going to do in the US to use the expanded access programme. Sales ahead of plan would be helpful.

Maybe some progress with funding and the long awaited Asian listing.

Not too long to wait....I really hope they have many positive things to say that are genuinely new.

Major Acquisition taking over one of the Collaboration partners would transform the company.
Major capital raise to be the last ever would be quite dilutive, but provides certainty of funding.
Small raise and reduction by CKHH to build local SH base and provide liquidity.

Nuri…I expect this will do better than AV this year….but don’t expect a dividend, it’s capital position is much worse but improving……it would be a bite sized UK centric bolt on for Aviva!

The company has existed on a two year cash flow plan for some time now, old habits are hard to break. My question about an Asian listing is what does the company want to achieve by it.
Some say there is already a path to positive cash flow so little cash may need to be raised.
A small $100/200m raise does not change much
If they have grand plans that require $500m they are yet to surface....but an acquisition funded by a large raise is possible for the right target.
A listing could be achieved by merging and assuming an existing listing.
Or existing SH could sell into a smaller raise to create more liquidity.

Before I first invested, I asked my dentist about dentyl and they recommend it for halitosis. They said it was effective but not as well marketed as corsodyl and others from big producers.

A product that works and opportunity to grow market share and now in a growing market....should go well.

Just need some news from cardiff or on product acquisitions to rouse the share price from its slumber.

Not a killjoy, just a longer term perspective.....I think the most likely route to 300plus is to deliver on the capital plan and generate more AUM. The market should rerate the shares and the yield fall to a more normal 5-6%.

I see there is talk or an actual bid for sanne so there is interest in back office administrators like XPS, equiniti is another if you like that sort of thing. Prob best to avoid capita until it is more recovered.

AIA a up 6% in HK today.....looks like Pru is responding.....it does need a Decent HK register and trading volume to prosper....so I support the fund raising to do this.

In theory the fund raising merely replaces money held in Jackson, so in total we should be no better or worse off.....but the theory is different to practice....I would like to see Jackson sold rather than listed.....

SDR are IMO a quality act. They seemed to have a successful 2020 building on their JV with LLoyds. They have a map of 9.5bn vs Mng at 6bn. It would be a significant merger within the UK market....I think the biggest obstacle is the LLoyds JV. LLoyds looked unkindly on the SLA a merger as competing with widows. Can’t see how they would like sdr teaming up with Mng who themselves are looking to reinvest in UK wealth management and would bring in prufunds vs widows.

Maybe there is a consortium approach to break up Mng and resolve these difficulties or the three get together in a mega merger but I think both are difficult.....

My money is on Mng to do a deal with a smaller player (Quilter / NinetyOne / ashmore) to get to a 9-10bn mcap)....but I am not going to rely on a deal.....I continue to buy based on undervaluation.

The RNS is that MNG owns 5% of JUP across a range of client funds.
Nothing to get excited about there.

MNG is a bright spot among the gloom....value is being recognised....even if it takes a non story to highlight it. UK a asset managers need consolidation...whether these are all share mergers or cash acquisitions remains to be seen. No doubt the bigger fish will offer cash for bolt ons, but putting together large players is probably share merger territory with much lower premiums.

Bloomberg reporting schroder spent a lot of time looking at Mng but decided too expensive.

Not surprised there is gossip about asset manager combinations as there are too many asset managers around.
Shroders JV a with LLoyds could be a problem, just like SLA found it had a problem.

MNG more likely to use M&A to develop outside UK.

Nice bounce in NY today to brighten the mood. Not that the SP is anything to boast about.

However many larger pharma and growth stocks have also been under pressure recently as the investment tides appear to be turning.

When even the cheerleader in chief is in despair, surely that is actually signalling a huge buy opportunity??

Take a look at JUST a complex business, but it has restructured its balance sheet and is trading well below book.

Credit risk boost more like......banks have reduced their provisions and BOE is more positive.
Has to help the capital requirement backing the annuity business which underpins the debt repayment of the company.
