Shorts or no shorts, the Wood Group share price at 54p is looking too cheap to ignore...

Will look to revisit early AM tomorrow!

@Aimless. If you mean Prudential's £5.96 it was very easy to do - it hovered around teh £6.00 mark most of the day and dipped under mid-afternoon. Nothing difficuilt about that. I have not sold Prudential, I am in accumulation mode on that particular share. Now, let's see what happens to the Prudential share price in December 2025, if it's up a reasonable amount, then yes I will sell some (not all) and bank profits. No one can estimate the lows and highs, but I do have a pretty good track record. Most of it is common sense. A share can only ever drop so low before it is a bargain...the trick is to have the confidence to press the buy button at that point in time.

It wasn't that long ago Capita was circa 12p and if you didn't buy then...well you'd have rocks in your head, and clearly missed the boat! Again commonsense, although commonsense is not that common.

@Aimless. Best to keep your Prudential comments to the Prudential discussion board. BTW I didn't know you were invested in them.Oh that's right you're not...

FYI As mentioned on the Prudential discussion board today, I added more (another £75,000) Prudential at £5.96 today - I know a bargain when I see it. As mentioned I'm in it for 3 to 5 years minimum, so I will always buy on the dips (I love lows) and accumulate. Despite your best efforts to post negative comments about my investments/trades, I hate to break it to you, but it doesn't affect me. I'll continue to buy whatever, whenever and wherever I like... I'll tell you what, take note of where Prudential is now, and then take a look in 12-18 months time. If you're not impressed with the Prudential share price in December 2025 and/or June 2026, then I'll eat my hat...I'll eat your hat...heck, I may even eat SavageKeyboard's hat! And if I'm wrong, you can eat my hat, and to make it even...you'll have to eat SavageKeyboard's hat too (if you dare)! Lol

@NoFear. Yes I have avoided Close Bros...very risky until the unlnown is known. I traded Wood Group in at 8.01 out at 8.40am for a tidy profit. I may do the same tomorrow if as Bruce Forsyth would say 'The Price Is Right'! I'm not usually a day trader but as an investor whether that be in the short term (as short as 40 minutes) or the long term (5-7 years - these have been some of my best investments), I like to buy into the bleeding obvious.

Capita was at one point up 4% today, which shows the potential...when it moves it will take off. Probably just needs an RNS (contract win or similar).

@Garonne. Just checked in - there are so many opportunities on the LSE at the moment it is unreal! Anyway, I saw Prudential dip below £6.00 and managed to buy more at circa £5.96 at about 3pm today. At the time of this post it looks like a close of circa £6.06. In any case a few pence here and there in the ebbs and flows of the stockmarket is all chump change rises in terms of potential here. Prudential balances my investment portfolio somewhat, as it is China and Asia based. The fact remains that Prudential has strong revenues and rising, strong profits and rising. Not all companies in the LSE are as fortunate! I will be very happy to continue to add in the dips. I know a bargain when I see it. Patience will be rewarded here.

Anyone here notice how SavageKeyboard is now focused on Prudential Plc? No mention of the fact that Capita is UP circa 4% today. Me thinks SavageKeyboard can't stand the Capita heat! Lol

@Garonne. When I invest, I look mainly at one thing...the company fundamentals, followed by potential. I look at the markets it operates in and the competition. All the rest is just market sentiment and outside noise. Prudential ticks all the boxes in my criteria that's why I'm not concerned at all. However, I did buy the bulk of my Prudential investment at £6.01 so I can understand if some long-term share holders are frustrated. It would not surprise me if China announced another stimulus plan and if that happens the Asian stocks will spike upwards as these economies improve over time. That said, it is clear that the Chinese economy is already on the up as per one of my earlier posts. Green shoot and all that. Besides, it's always darkest before the dawn.

I've not been in Centrica since circa 44p and enjoyed the slow but steady rise to circa 90p. However, after the Centrica fall over the last week and now at a one-year low, the Centrica share price is looking cheap. I would expect a slight rise in the Centrica share price over the next week, due to upcoming cold snap and share dividend reinvestments over the next week. Interesting article on Centrica yesterday...

As of early AM today 8.01am to be exact! I am back in Wood Group once more. After yesterday's sell off - it was too good to pass up! No doubt there will be plenty of new buys today...

@NoFear. Took a punt on Wood Group again early AM today £50,000...Glad I did!

How I have completely focused AimMaster and SavageKeyboard on me...and away from their typical daily tripe and trash talk about Capita... Lol

Aimless and Savage. I love how you waste your day trying to keep up with my investments. You check my investments more often than I do. Lol

FYI. Just bought £50,000 in Centrica shares. Great price at £1.18. Love it!

@AimMaster. No comment at all from you or SavageKeyboard on my above post. I actually thought you may have a sensible opinon. However, I have come to the conclusion that you and SavageKeyboard are the same poster (or maybe you're both twins...brothers in arms). Always quick to comment on other investor's trades and investments, but never on your own. I actually gave you more credit, however, it is clear that you are both from the same stock - a couple of lightweights.

FYI. I actually added 2 x £25,000 on Prudential today. That must blow your mind...not one but two investments as the share price falls. If Prudential does fall below £6.00, I will be very happy to add more. I know what I know.

Aimless I can never 'copy and paste your previous estimates on the direction of the Capita share price predictions that were clearly wrong, otherwise I'll be here all night! imho

I'll probably invest £100,000 on Capita early AM tomorrow. Try as you may Aimless, you will never be able to use your crystal-ball to guess where JO will next invest, nor for how much. In the meantime, how is your investment in Capita...it's down so much that even JO may re-invest... Lol

@NoFear. Thanks for that. Very interesting. I did sell out of Wood Group for a touch over 60p, so made a tidy profit. At the moment Wood Group has slumped - so I was right on that. I thought when there is too much heat on a stock, keep the investment conservative, with a very quick entry and even quicker exit...a bit like Savage Keyboard's xes (spelt backwards) life!

I will continue to monitor both Close Bros and Wood Group closely. Mind you, I've also had another look at Capita at these low prices. Hmmm...maybe I should email AH and make one or two suggestions around the Capita employee award schemes so I can invest once more. Food for thought...

@SavageKeyboard Am I bothered about any drops in Prudential or elsewhere for that matter? Clearly not. I know what I know. I use it as an opportunity to buy.

Now SavageKeyboard now that you've admisted to buying into one iddy biddy stock....what is it and how much? Do tell.

@Garonne. I love it when shares drop. Always a great time to buy. If I were a day trader, I'd think differently, however, I'm in it for at least 3-5 years and I know a bargain when I see it.
