RE: Principles5 Nov 2024 12:24
@Wednesday. I made it clear why I invested in Capita. I have now made it clear as to why I have now sold out of Capita. My principles cannot be bought at any price. I believe in inclusion, not exclusion. I do not belive in self-interest of the few at the expense of the many.
I wonder how the Capita staff 'black only' awards affect the total staff morale at Capita. No doubt when the awards are announced, a roll of the eyes from all and sundry non-blacks...followed quickly by a forced smile and a slow clap. Either that or more likely...total apathy.
I suggest that those of the Capita Fan Club who continue to taunt and make negative comments about my reason and decision to sell my Capita shareholding scroll back to 1 November which was when DarkBlue posted Capita's Linkedin posts about Capita's 'black-only' awards (these awards are open to everyone...er, as long as you're black!), and read the reactions immediately after that post was made. Am I that different in my view to many others here? I think not.
I know - to even the keel on the Capita ship, make it fair so that everyone can participate in the Capita awards, and improve staff morale for all, why not introduce more awards. For example, 'white-only' awards (can you imagine the reaction...?!), 'asian-only' awards... Or religion, 'Catholic-only' awards... Heck, let's go further, gender-based awards: 'he-only' awards, 'she-only' awards, 'they-only' awards... Age-based awards: 'under 20 years' awards, '20-35 years' awards, '35-50 years' awards, '50 years and over' awards... Or better still all combined, for example: 'Black-only, he, under 20s' awards, 'White-only, he, under 20s' awards and so on... Or, maybe, just maybe...all awards open to EVERYONE equally without fear or favour based on the catagory of the award. For example, 'Best Customer Service Award' (and this award is open to ALL employees in the company/department) etc. Imagine that?! No, no, no, we can never have that, can we...? (pause for thought...).
