@Finley Agreed. Trump has not only won the election, he now has control of the senate. At the end of the day Trump is a master-businessman, he knows how to do deals...better than any politician on the planet.

@Aimless: Are we still on for the Prudential Plc bet? As JO predicted, Prudential Q3 results today are strong with good sales and profits, with rise in share price to follow. I'm sure you've already checked Prudential's results and share price so you (and proobably many others here) could call out my 'stupid' decision to sell out of Capita and invest in Prudential. Prudential Plc is up 3.83% today as of the time of this post. Aimless - my apprentice - you need to follow JO's advice in order to become rich. Oh well, never mind. When NoFear starts to invest again, no doubt he will follow JO's investment advice...besides he has the advantage of a shepherd's crook!

@Overtrader. Agreed. Of course the next Zephyr share price rise will occur when finance and drill date is formally confirmed via RNS. After that, let the 'liquid gold' run, blink, and then and watch this share price rocket!

At the time of this post Prudential is up circa 3% for the day. No doubt it will rise and fall somewhat as short-term day traders take a few buck profit today. To be honest this 3% rise is a drop in the bucket as the Prudential share price is on 5 year lows, and the ceiling on this share price has a very long way to run. I did predict the Prudential resulst would be favourable and that the share price would increase. Doomsayers like Pokerchips thought it was all about the US election (probably because he is seriously anti-Trump). However, commonsense has prevailed and Prudential is up due to sound Q3 results with strong sales and revenues. I also mentioned it will be a steady rise between now and late February. No doubt the next set of Prudential results will be favourable. Of course it's very easy to be a critic (like Pokerchips), but sometimes it's better to take a step back and use commonsense in share price predictions.

On another note: It wouldn't surprise me if China has serious positive and constructive talks with Trump in order to re-balance trade more in favour of the US without adverse tarrifs inflicted on China. The reason is that China is not stupid and would want to do a deal rather than add further stimulus to the economy.

Just to add, Trump is pro-oil and gas. Trump has referred to oil and gas as 'liquid gold'. Trump accused Biden and Harris of a 'war on American energy'. Trump has been known to say that Harris was 'controlled by environmental extremists' while Trump believed in his 'vision of American energy dominance to protect national security'. All positive for Zephry Energy.

In my opinion, the Labour Govt should re-examine it's own policies on the UK's oil and gas industry (currently taxed at cica 78%) in order to protect its own security and bring down oil and gas prices for UK businesses and consumers.

The election is still too close to call. However, I do think Trump will win relatively comfortably. Trump is pro-America, pro-business, pro-growth and pro-British. A Trump win will be positive for Zephyr. Let's see how the US election results finish.

Well still early and maybe too close to call with swing staes still too close to call. That said, I predict a Trump win. Trump is pro-America, pro-business, pro-growth...and pro-Britain. If Trump wins, US markets S&P etc will be up, US dollar will be up etc. I know Pokerchips will see red and may even return to the Prudential discussion board vent! Some would say Trump is anti-China and Europe, however, I say he simply wants to re-balance US trade, and if that means threats or actual increased tarrifs, so be it. I doubt the China would be overly concerned, after all they are the world's No 1 exporter and as of 2023 export to the US accounts for 16% of total trade.

In terms of Prudential Plc, as mentioned, the fundamentals are strong with good sales and profit growth and high margins. With the China stimulus already having a positive impact on the Chinese economy, I predict the next set of Prudential results will be stronger still. I am very happy to buy more Prudential if there is any dip in share price after the US election results and hold for the steady climb upwards.

Some may disagree with my views, but there you have it. Each to their own.

Correction @OKDokey: In my reply to you I mentioned the share price will double within six months, I meant to say within 12-18 months for reasons already stated in my earlier posts. My view on this has not changed.

I do not think the Capita share price will increase to 60p. Unless, and this is a very, very long shot...a Capita takeover offer. Not that I think a takeover offer will happen.

Based on your comment OKdokey, you obviously think AdamWoodie's prediction of Capita share price 60p is right on the money. Typical delusional Capita Fan Club member. FYI. I predicted Capita would double i.e from circa 19-20p is 38-40p for the reasons I mentioned a whie back. I would say that is realistic with the timeframe of 6 months, if all goes well and all the skeletons are out of the closet. However, I did not and do not agree with AdamWoodie that Capita's share price will reach 60p...that is outlandish. Surely you know the difference between my predication of double the current share price (i.e. 19-20p to 38-40p) vs AdamWoodies's tripple the current share price (19-20p to circa 60p). Did you pass maths at primary school? Probably not...I bet your maths teacher wrote 'F' on your paper (which you interpreted as 'Fabulous'), followed by 'Could do better' (which you interpreted as 'Wait, what you mean I can get 'Fabulously Fabuloso'?!'). Anyway, as mentioned, it is highly unlikely Capita will reach 60p. Let's be real...the Capita share price can barely climb out of 19p before it is knocked down again. It's a long road to 60p that's for sure. Tell me OKdokey do YOU think Capita will reach AdamWoodie's prediction of 60p per share? It sounds like you do as you have attacked my comments, without any critique or comment whatsoever about AdamWoodie's prediction of 60p...interesting but not surprising.

For the record, I have no amnosity towards Capita and it's share price, or indeed anyone here (including Trisor - my resident stalker...or for that matter SavageKeyboard and his black keyboard and black slippers). If AdamWoodie and OKdokey thinks the Capita share price will reach 60p then that's fine with me. Each to their own.

Prudential's fundamentals strong with good sales and profits, should result in share price increase when markets open tomorrow 6 November. Curently, Prudential's share price is very cheap, and in my view this is a clear growth stock as of now.

As of this the date/time of this post the US election results are unknown, so any increase may/may not be tempered affected by the election results. In any case, Prudential has proven it is the right company, in the right place, at the right time. I am very confident in Prudential with its excellent management and strong results, and no doubt this will continue for the forseeable future.

Performance highlights on a constant (and actual) exchange rate basis for the nine months ended 30 September 2024:

Q3 year to date new business profit was $2,347 million, up 11 per cent (10 per cent) including economic impacts. Q3 year to date new business profit excluding economic impacts was up 9 per cent (7 per cent);

Q3 year to date APE sales were up 7 per cent (5 per cent) to $4,638 million. APE sales for the three months ended 30 September were up 10 per cent (10 per cent) compared with the same period in the prior year, with all segments growing in the discrete third quarter.

Anil Wadhwani, Chief Executive Officer of Prudential, commented:

“Our new business performance in the third quarter saw our momentum continue as expected. APE sales for the three months ended 30 September were up 10 per cent compared with the same period last year. Insurer Prudential's nine-month profit rises on strong performance by segments

(Reuters) - Prudential PLC posted a 11% rise in new business profit for the first nine months of fiscal 2024 on Wednesday, as the Asia-focused insurer benefited from strong performance from all its segments.

The London and Hong Kong dual-listed company posted new business profit of $2.35 billion for the nine months ended Sept. 30 on a constant exchange rate basis, up from $2.14 billion last year.

@CraigJD Do you seriously think you know my movements on a daily, weekly, monthly basis?! I didn't know you cared. Wait, you're not a stalker like Trisor are you...?! In any case, in the first instance, I read the post by DarkBlue and immediatelt mentioned on this Capita discussion board that I would sell out of my Capita stockholding for exactly the same reason as Broomtree. While I was roundly criticised for my decision...strangely Broomtree was not criticised in any way, and has been left entirely alone. To be frank, if I too was left alone, I would have left it at that. However, as NoFear says, if you poke the bear, expect a reply... Therefore, I would say if you don't want to hear from me, don't moan, groan and cry like Trisor that I have sold all of my Capita stockholding, or make sarcastic comments about why I sold my Capita stockholding, or ask me questions (dumb as many of them maybe) about why I sold my Capita stockholding. Take note Trisor and others...

Been a while since I checked in on Zephyr share price as the next action is due in December. Good to see a spike in the share price over the last few days...circa 15-18% in one day...very nice. Spike no doubt in anticipation of next RNS (probably in mid-late November) of finance approval and firm commencement date for drill. This recent sipke does prove that when the Zephyr share price is ready to move, it will take off like a rocket, and it will be too late to join the rocket ride if not already invested i.e. early.

@AdamWoodie I like your optimism, hopefully for the good of all Capita shareholders it comes true. Just don't let SavageKeyboard hear me say that! I would caution that it will liklely rise on such news at the next set of results mainly due to day traders out for a quick buck or two (aka Aimless and co). However, if sales revenue is down and profits are flat then theyre will be no rebound. In my view it will take 2-3 sets of postive results, and preferably an announcement that dividends will commence, before investors have the confidence to back Capita and reach the dizzy heights of 60p. That will likley be some way off yet. The Capita ship has plugged many of its holes and has turned around, but the route forward is never smooth sailing!

I have had the last few days off. Hence the time to glance at the Capita discussion board from time to time, and my posts. To be honest, if Trisor (he is somewhat of a stalker - I'm sure he has found the salker emoji by now) and others would leave me alone and not directed statements/questions at me, then I'd post less often.
