I look at lse most market days for risers/fallers/financial diary etc and sporadically pop on to catch up with friends elsewhere and a brief look here I feel disappointed that ‘LTI’ gets hounded by waffle and negativity when he’s having to defend in a factual way and gets embroiled in defending and justifying insults from this negativity/agenda when this board on a grown up share/IT has so many opportunities to be a discussion and sharing ideas forum.

This isn’t an opening for a he said/she said and I’m not interested in the idiot who once said I should live in China or something like that once on here, please take this opportunity to share/discuss/debate in a manner that is of interest to investors and learn from folks that know their facts and experience and move forwards. All the best.

Luckily my other half as potty about dogs as me bud so no resistance there it’s just whether I follow my heart and get rescue/rehome or pups which is possibly the practical option going forwards ,I’ll scream it from the rooftops when it happens as currently just making excuses for it not to happen now and I know you know what I mean!

Appreciate that blue, it’s a real head/heart thing for sure. I guess when it comes down to it if you’ve always had a dog or close pet but dogs more so as they go everywhere with you it just doesn’t feel right without one on every level. I still carry the collars in my left trouser pocket of mine and I remember when we rescued Rosie the guy was chatting about his coping mechanism and pulled out a big pile of collars out of his pocket, move on but remember and cherish.

Hi Blue, getting there thanks mate, time heals but they’re always with you. We’re starting to discuss getting a pair soon as set up for dogs and I think Rosie wouldn’t want me to be a miserable bugger forever!

On the politics thing it’s amazing how all the politicians manipulate to their own agendas mate!

I’m not really that into it tbh but for what it’s worth I think the Changos thing is a total betrayal of the tax payers money particularly when they just refuse to ‘look after their own’ like the pensioners, farmers etc and will always be judged as most news is chip paper the next day but things are remembered too and whenever the next election is I’d imagine those two in particular will remember!

Totally agree on the Changos islands issue Blue, was hoping the yanks might have got our idiots to see sense on that one!

Been busy doing all sorts since last on, all yieldy stuff really but managed to get the overall back up after the vod stitch up, halving the div again, I’m sure they’ve done this a couple of times before on the long road down from a couple of quid.

HH, that makes a lot of sense mate. We had a little dachsie alongside Rosie who was unbelievably placid and put up with tail pulling and being dragged off the sofa to play although stood his ground on food!

Strangely I was where I am now 12.5 years ago and a mate ‘into shares’ said stop being a miserable bastard and give another dog a chance so one visit to a rescue place and Rosie followed!

When the decision is made(yes I have a boss too lol) I’m thinking a pair but also have to think what if they survive me/us but luckily there’s a dog mad daughter in the background….ill keep you all posted!

I know what you mean HH, we’ve got a posh estate bordering my patch so get lots of escapee pheasants and we’ve planted lots of cover and occasionally get breeders with chicks but also understand without the shooting over there no pheasants at all, was brought up in the gun trade before property took over and totally understand the conundrum, I think they called it the ‘game conservancy’ which most wouldn’t. TBH I’m wary of snakes so avoid but midges/mosquitos I would happily kill without remorse!

Gilt yields dropping, interest rates dropping so parking the dosh will hopefully boost the reits,infrastructure funds etc better and the yanks have been over priced for a long time so maybe that might flow this way who knows.

Good companies ‘caught up’ in all this are the ones to buy but overall income is my bag and diversifying my cunning plan!

Thanks Blue, just trying to focus on the good times rather than the loss but she went before her time with multiple organ failure and thankfully was quick at the end and was still full of Jack Russell mischief a couple of days before stealing socks,chewing boxes etc. Just takes time to adjust and I f I got another too quick I might resent it rather than love it enough I guess.

Nature can be cruel Troj, foxes and poultry a prime example..not a good mix! Get odd times when I see a rabbit with mixie and deal with it but would never kill for sport. Most jobs I do these days have the only satisfaction of finishing them but up at the land I enjoy pretty much all of it!

Shares I’m not anti aim but I think if you’re focused you can do well but with divvy stuff at least you get the divs(mostly!) as a consolation prize because doesn’t seem to matter how higher up the caps or lower down they have that annoying habit of going the wrong way except when you sell as they normally go up then lol!

Totally agree on LGEN, MNG etc, not adding to mng as ex this week despite the extra drop but will do if something exciting happens like assura group actually gets bought out at fifty as got loads of them still. Legals well up to add at this price and 15p or thereabouts end of the month, 220’s or lower I’ll find the dosh, thin out 280+ if/when. Taylor Wimpey already ex as you know so not so bothered unless they go under a quid. Got too many psn and wary of sales figures forward as the stamp duty cutoff gone now and they might need to reduce prices and do px’s to shift and cut margins.

Glad you’ve expanded the fish stocks, unusual weather with hotter days and colder nights and hardly any rain but I won’t complain about rain as it will come and then buggers up most of my activities when it does!

The stuff I’ve bought this week and today mostly averaging down on bp, seit,genuit, bodycote, brck,nrr,old mutual,duke,invp,a few glencore,falkland island holdings and yougov which arnt good yielders but looked cheap and trimmed a few Pennon which I got on the right side with their recent rights shenanigans and added more INPP under 110 so all boring stuff really but have got my overall yield/return on capital to 8.66%, focusing in the positives and I won’t bore you about the capital values or I’ll be here all night lol

As far as the markets go, too soon,too late no one’s know but yield is my motivation and feel obliged to take the opportunities plus had some nasty div cuts with Travis Perkins, CLS holdings, ecora(the worst) recently so galvanised to carry on diversifying and adding income to replace income and get on the right side….just the drop in capital value gets in the way sometimes!

Thanks Troj, yes Maggs was the first Jack Russell and put it into the email so didn’t blur the business stuff. It’s been hard as all dog owners know to have them start to finish and then nothing.
