Well missed mate! Already have a reasonable holding in my big mix but haven’t averaged down as I’ve got plenty of others ahead in the queue. Historically the yield has been good but I guess there’s a ? on the special div next time around if they’re not doing so well now.

Got quite a few NESF and just about all the renewables except Downings, recently added to ORIT as have a penchant for quarterly yielders and like most they’re right down there.

Everyone I know in business and employees too all seem to be treading water ahead of the muppets and the next budget, reminds me when a company says they’ll need be raising money in the near future, the effect on the SP a little like the misery and negative influence on confidence we’ve got here aarghhhh!

I’ve got a friend who is a total leftie and supports Corbin and we have some lovely debate as I’m a small landowner and ex business founder/owner and have shares so we’re at both ends of it and most of the time agree to disagree but it’s always interesting to hear the other side of things whereas another I know think anyone who’s grandparents weren’t born in Somerset isn’t worth talking to(I’m exempted clearly!).

Alas there’s too much ignorance on rural matters as most people live in towns and cities these days!

The red kites were my biggest concern as have had young rabbits dropped in front of me a few times up there about the size of ours at 3 weeks but they’re much bigger now and when we first got them the concern was more the damage they’d cause to them trying to pick up but not an issue now mate.

On the Europe thing I always saw us as a bridge/balance with North America and China in it or not, soft power influence rather than totally irrelevant but my point about the Falklands compared to to Changos was that leaseback was never an option under Maggie and strong leadership and it’s not political as the Tories kowtowed and probably started it whereas labour just did a bad deal imo.

Never seen a sea eagle thankfully although I recently saw a feral cat dragging a fully grown rabbit recently!

Don’t worry Blue I’m of the opinion that all politicians these days are snouts in the trough and happy to say that in whichever forum! Happy to post in both places as like you all and shares the landscape changes daily and I react or don’t accordingly. I also have the remnants of my countryside alliance T-shirt from back in the day so as I said to Troj over there I consider myself apolitical but with a bias towards common sense and values that were clearly ditched with the Changos and withheld when the FI kicked off! Hi Troj, thankfully no sea eagles but we’re mindful of the red kites up there but less so now as the pups are twice the size and twice as aggressive to aerial threats!

We had a couple of seagulls hanging around at home at feeding time but they’ve given up now!

No preconceptions on the budget, middle earners,drivers,smokers, small employers always the easy target for more money to waste!

Although I consider myself apolitical I have to say the difference between dealings on the Falklands and the Changos islands will always run deep!

Apart from birds which are more plentiful every year with the trees and bushes and pallet piles etc I’ve put in the muntjacs are around mostly at night barking to each other, saw the buck recently but they soon scarper when we’re around. Squirrels active burying nuts and the badgers seem to have moved to the other side after some serious digging under hedges, rabbits everywhere and mice under anything left lying around. Saw a kestrel the other day on a fence post and the red kites are around but keeping a close eye in case they try for one of the pups, though I’d say good luck with that now they’re over 5 months old.

A lot of anticipation ahead of the budget and no doubt like all governments they’ll tax, mis spend and borrow as normal whilst leaking bits ahead to sniff out reaction but since I can do nought about it I’m not going to get wound up about it although I did manage to sign the digital card petition recently cos I don’t like anything that gives me another ballache to deal with, much like the new tv I bought recently, crikey don’t they over complicate these things nowadays!

Anyway rant over, glad you’ve got the income side covered. Sold my pru shares recently but kept the spin off mng ones as they pay a good divvy. Catch up soon mate.

Cheers Blue,they are certainly a handful at times for sure but very loveable and Rosie would be impressed with their levels of mischief!! Thankfully we don’t use it these days but the stables next door arnt too happy plus had to go on hay when there was no grass around.

Ground still rock hard a few inches down as discovered when planting some new trees(bit early but they were budding) to replace the ones I’ve been logging up with the saw recently!

Hopefully the so called government doesn’t add insult to injury to us country folk when they have the next budget, buying in French hay crikey that hurts! Catch up soon mate.

Wildlife having a great time eating all the fruit etc up a the land and frogs,toads a plenty down around the big pond which is just a bog currently after such a dry time. Put some new posts in the other day and six inches down ground still rock hard, that’ll change I’m sure.

Well it’s an unusual dilemma whether to take some profits here and there it has to be said although overall like most longtermers sitting on a few horror stories which I won’t bore you with! Focus still on divs and got a diverse mix of things, strangely I avoid anything that might go up 50% because the flip is usually the case so my perfect share yields 8ish percent, pays quarterly and is sitting on a dilemma free small profit…I’ll let you know when I get one lol. Hope AA doing okay, been chaining up wood for next year today, like to keep ahead of things wherever possible. Politics hah, all the same mate, change the recruiting to folks who can run a market stall profitably without ripping people off and I’ll show interest!

Hope everyone doing okay and your ponds doing well Troj, plenty of frogs and toads on the move at ours and wildlife enjoying the harvest of nuts, berries and fruit. Apples recovered and filled out well once rain finally got there and sweet chestnuts bountiful. Hay prices through the roof as expected with no rain over that season.

Not much going on with the shares and holding most things as sick and tired of them going up after I sell but took out ecora res after they went up and decimated the yield with no regrets and scattered into all the yieldy stuff, useful punts on the odd things but the winners never seem to outdo the losers aaarghhh.

The trio of jacks now 5 months and full of mischief and settled in really well.

Blackstone Inc. is in advanced negotiations to sell £1 billion of its logistics assets in the United Kingdom to British real estate investment trust (REIT) Tritax Big Box, Sky News reported on Sunday.

According to a source familiar with the matter, if the deal is reached, Blackstone could receive some equity in Tritax Big Box in return for those assets.

If so, Blackstone could become one of Tritax Big Box's largest stockholders. The British REIT is currently valued at £3.65 billion in market capitalization.
