Been busy cutting back at the land and building walls and ramps at home.

Shares doing okay although the paper losses persist on a lot still, great time to load up on divvy stuff with the real estate trusts,infrastructure funds etc so low.

Hope the ponds doing well Troj, been topping a few of my little ones up the last few weeks.

I think the issue here is the discounts to nav in this sector weigh heavy on longterm holders because the bids if/when are going to reflect the current navs but there’s always a chance additional interest might push it a bit more,see who comes out of the woodwork time!

Noted a late or after hours trade just over 63 showing on google finance just now feeling optimistic for a change!

Deadline extended, possible other interest,no certainty…..rns here. GLA

Maybe this mild snap has created a few more monsters, mozzies must have a role in the food chain/system but I have no hesitation killing them on contact lol

The sea berries or buckthorn are very thorny mind you, makes hawthorn quite tame by comparison!

We bought a batch a few years ago as an experiment really but it’s only the females that seem to produce the orange berries whereas one of the males has busied himself sending out runners and so we’re adding in different terrains up there as it’s all good ground cover if nothing else and will try and get some females into the mix for the berries.

In a garden they could be a nuisance with the spreading mind you!

We’ve potted on a load of cuttings so hopefully they’ll be more berry production going forwards!

I’ve got the usual stuff in precious metals including a recent bottom fish in fres and I’d imagine I’ve covered it with a lot of the diversified trusts I’ve got thanks mate. Hope yours doing okay.

Been busy building a big greenhouse amongst other things and all waking up at the land now.

Have successfully planted a few more trees including a batch of sea berries which grew out from runners and saw a pair of red-legged partridge the other day which I haven’t seen up there before.

On shares just dividend stuff mostly and a few recovery ones added to the mix, as in yet to recover and still dropping lol.

Scary times out there in the news with all the dictators threatening everyone, crazy times!

Hi LTI, good to see the nav creeping back up. Recent div most welcome and the buybacks I assume because they also think they’re too cheap!

The SP seems to trail the nav around 10p these days and hopefully in time they’ll narrow the gap from when we always seemed to be 10p over!

I normally buy my cigs in cartons as in ten packs at a time and noted they’ve gone up from £13.70 to over £14 a pack in the last few weeks, did I hesitate to buy,no because it’s like a pint or a gallon of fuel,we just pay it.

Therefore I suggest tobacco is a captive market plus all the news about banning disposable/flavoured whatever vapes suggests to me the NGP’s with the big two here are quite happy to see some competitors stand aside or lose out to the majors and thereby keeping the entry levels to the business high.

Still adding under 25 on income longterm,short term doesn’t interest me but good luck to the traders here.

Hi Troj, a bit of a compromise this one as mum with us now so a ‘30’s bungalow on a decent plot with a big garage and loads of sheds. Connectivity with the land a mere 150 miles of mostly motorway, best of both worlds,sort of!

Hi Troj, it’s certainly been an interesting year and despite a bit of a rally last week I’m way off(again lol), never mind at least there’s divs coming in.

I might cancel my IC subscription because they’ve done the ‘for information on dividends go on-line’ again. I wrote to them when they did this a few months ago pointing out the reason I subscribe to the magazine is so I don’t go on-line and they write back telling me how to go on-line….i think they missed my point and frankly to see the divs the financial diary on here is fantastic along with a few other websites.

Surely the fact they are buying back shares at a discount to nav as opposed to at a premium to nav is because they recognise there is value in doing so?

Much like directors buys, they see value in doing so however minescule the percentage it’s better than not taking advantage of the discount?

We all do it subjectively because it’s our money at risk. Vive la difference! Not saying any approach is right or wrong but the market is strangely random and chaotic in how it reacts and there are so many factors and inputs which makes it interesting,rewarding at times, other times quite disheartening if you let it get to you.
