Hi Tinker, I'm thinking more about the carrying value of our stake, defined by the initial price paid, less depreciations over the tenure. Is it realistic to say the carrying value has depreciated since acquisition, personally I'm having some difficulty with that

In view of the rather vague statement from BP on the basis upon which we are going to extricate ourselves from Rosneft and more specifically, the monetary basis to be applied, I think Mr Looney does need to provide shareholders with more information. We have read articles suggesting a $25BN hit, but I find that very difficult to reconcile. We need more clarity of the boards intentions please

Realistically where can Putin go outside Russia after this crime against humanity, which I sincerely hope appropriate bodies are carefully monitoring, to bring him before a court charged with war crimes in due course other than China, UAE and it would seem India and ****stan

To all seasoned and new investors currently holding BP stock I would simply say that the volatility we are experiencing this morning, and possible through the afternoon when wall street emerges from slumber, was fully expected. We all just need to stay calm and this stock will come good very quickly. I wish everyone invested here very good luck. Thank you to lots of the seasoned investors who have posted sensible comments on here which will reassure some who may be inexperienced and justifiable concerned about their investments. I strongly appeal to all responsible posters to filter out the troublemakers, as I have over the weekend

This doesn't tell us anything more than yesterday's statement, bp anticipate a defect between the carrying value (price paid for rosneft stake less depreciation over the term) and real value (the eventual sell price agreed between the parties at point of sale) but we can't put a number on that at this stage. Wishing all bp investors good luck today and love to our Ukraine brothers and sisters
