Did you read the RNS release by bp yesterday morning, that confirms that with oil at $60 they can maintain their previously advised investment rating and dividend increments through 2025. They seem confident that the rosneft departure will not have major impact going forward. I can't tell you what the share price will be in coming weeks but I will not be selling my shares I'm not making any recommendations to you, and my comments here are simply my opinions. I wish you well with your investments

Hi Dicklaw., time will tell., I honestly think the guy is unhinged. What president of a major superpower would put nuclear weapons at a stage of readiness just because a foreign secretary spoke harshly. Its almost laughable. I suppose he could abdicate to live with his friends in UAE or CHINA or perhaps ****stan/India and end up like Binladen or Hussain living in a manhole

Bumble that is very true, but I wonder if it really matters who is inflicting the sanctions. At this point in time I doubt if Putin is thinking beyond his own survival because he appears to have made a monumental error of judgement invading Ukraine. Even when peace finally returns where can Putin hide ? He is now a pariah in most of the free world and I don't rate his survival chances very highly.

Bumble, When sanctions really start hurting its impossible to predict what Putin may or may do. I do wonder if the Looney/Dudley/Sechin friendship was intact following the resignations, and if so maybe the rosneft board would respect and protect bp holding. Who knows how this might play out. If, (and I hope it's soon) there is a ceasefire in Ukraine the situation may well return to normal

CR888., you are correct all those factors and others will determine the real value that someone is prepared to pay. Your comment about what we could do if Putin we're to grab these assets is interesting and from shareholders perspective might actually work in our favour
