RE: Jason on Utah21 Feb 2025 08:20
A key focus of my visit was discussing the role of Quadrise in this development with Steven. The recent Site License and Supply Agreement represents a significant step in our collaboration, with the receipt of our first license fee revenues demonstrating Valkor’s commitment to integrating our technology into its operations during 2025.
One of the standout attributes of the oil produced at Valkor’s Utah site is its naturally low sulphur content and low carbon intensity compared with refined fuels. This makes it an ideal fit for both local industrial-scale fuel consumers and the wider marine market, where increasing emissions regulations are driving demand for cleaner, lower-carbon fuels.
Due to its high viscosity, transporting the Utah heavy oil in its natural state presents a challenge. Our patented emulsion technology addresses this by significantly reducing the oil’s viscosity, enabling it to flow as a stable liquid fuel, and be transported to customers in the power and marine sectors, including major bunkering hubs along the US Gulf Coast and the Port of Los Angeles in the future.
Standing in the freezing Utah landscape, I was struck by the enormous potential of this project. The successful production of the first wells, the securing of financing, and the clear roadmap for scaling operations all signal a bright future. Quadrise is set to play a pivotal role in enhancing efficiency and sustainability of this project, reinforcing the transformative impact of our partnership with Valkor.
This visit strengthened my confidence in our collaboration and in our shared commitment to innovation, efficiency, and environmental responsibility. As we move forward, the coming months and years will be critical in shaping the future of cleaner, more efficient fuel and biofuel solutions. I am proud that Quadrise is playing an integral role in this journey toward a more sustainable energy landscape and I look forward to returning to Utah soon.
