Hi Crumbs,
I noted the difference between the mAb partnering deal between the 2 raises. So what changed? How can SCLP add further value.?
The “ advanced discussions” were presumably with the original Agreement so a leading Company in the field who had spent 12 months evaluating the mAb.
To have got to an advanced discussion stage one the other Company must have been pretty happy with the product and I would have thought they must have agreed ball Park figures.So what has changed.
I understand the importance of this first deal in establishing the goalposts moving forward but what can SCLP actually do to add value apart from maybe the extra money puts them in a better position to hold out fir a better deal.
Let us hope the AGM provides some of these answers.

Thanks for posting and I agree that the two funding tranches are likely to be linked from the original plan as I can’t see anything that would have materially changed in between.
When they originally invested they would be fully aware of what was happening with SCLP in the post 3 month period which would cover the later raise.

AB.I think you have summed up the main reason.
It is clear that the next 2 years holds the key to unlocking value here by generating successful trial data.
As a hedge fund and a very successful one at that they imo have simply hedged their position in case the data does not prove successful.
They have control and are likely to have an exit plan based on both success and failure of the science.That is one of the things that makes them successful.
Of course PIs have little control over the future here but totally control their own position.Whether they themselves decide to “ hedge” their positions is entirely up to themselves.

I was answering an earlier point to me saying it was better to buy in an OO than in the market as the money went directly to SCLP. It makes absolutely no difference to me and those that feel it is better to give it to SCLP directly I would ask why?
Do they believe it is for SH benefit as some type of loyalty or simply as a way of raising more money.That is what I mean those who feel some emotional attachment to the share will probably think it is a gesture fir them.
I will buy more in the OO.It is the extra amount that I have not decided upon yet and have next week to consider further.My decision is not just focused on SCLP but what happens with other shares as well.

Yep you highlight a very good point in having a lot of shares that you can sell at different levels,slice and Derisk.I totally endorse that view and do it on a number of shares. However,the impression given here by several LTH does not indicate that they intend to slice or even trade to accumulate just get a bigger holding.
I also concede that by taking part in an OO means the funds go directly to SCLP. However,I deliberately keep emotion out of it as I feel it leads to better decision making.
I probably don’t have a big enough holding here to slice as much as I would like but will fix that issue over the next week or so.
Like many I adjust my exposure to the risk / reward and although I do think the future here is very good there are better plays out there imo.

Absolutely we all have different perspectives.
Many people’s life’s would be changed by 50p/£1/£5 or whatever.
My point is for eg if the SP went to £5 and you became worth £5m then is that not enough eggs to have in one basket so if I held 1M shares I would personally be thinking do I really want to buy more as the marginal gain from having more is immaterial but the risk increases.
That is my view that I would rather put that extra money into other shares.
As I don’t have anything like the holding here that many do obviously I won’t gain as much on any high rise here as others but of course if I enjoy higher rises elsewhere then I gain more.
As I said this is all about individual choice and what us right for me may not be right for others and vice versa

We have until 26th to make our minds up and I think the SP level when people make the decision as to what to do will play a big part.
Originally I was going to apply for a lot of extra shares both for a LTH but also a portion of which I could trade.
If the SP is 17/18p for instance this would be my plan and not really buy any on the market.
If the SP drops to 13-14p I will probably buy some on open market rather than apply for loads extra.
Yes I could end up paying more but equally if the SP drops below the placing price you could do better.
All dependent on other opportunities on the market so I will probably leave my application to late in the day.
The other perspective and I appreciate others may well disagree.
If I had a lot of shares here and truly believed the SP here was likely to 10 bag or even more.I would take my OO allocation but really not sure about applying for any more.
That may seem illogical to some but it is purely about risk.
If I had 500k or 1M shares here whether I made £5m or £10m is immaterial.How much money do people want.
How much money do people need to be life changing.
I certainly would be very happy with any profit as it is not going to change my life one iota whether this goes down the pan or reaches £5 a share.
We all have different perspectives but always remember fear and greed are probably the biggest emotional drivers of sentiment.
Once emotional attachments become part of decision making then that imo makes fir much less objective decisions with a much higher chance of getting it wrong.

As I can’t see your post I can’t really comment as you asked.
Please repost maybe under a different thread so I can respond.
Think most recognise need to get toxic posts removed but once again does seem to be a regular feature here simply to get alternate points of view taken out.This simply does not happen in other boards particularly at the moment on here I do not see any evidence of “ unreasonable” posts.
It has nothing to do with Premier membership which I only use to get the L2.

No surprises and if the recent huge raises had not been done they would have not been well received.
However they are fully cashed up,have great endorsement and validation by major investors, and we all look forward to getting more details on how they intend to spend the extra money.

C7 yes was aware of how kind he had been to you and did not realise some of the other stuff.Really do understand how many will value his “ contribution” to their understanding of the fundamentals here and may help their decision making.
My personal view is different in that I am happy for my level of understanding for my exposure here and I simply get distracted and disappointed at any engagement with him.That is nothing to do with who wins the argument as again I have a different view from several on here but more on the pointless effort it involves.
I do wish both yourself and him well health and wealth wise as I am fortunate enough to enjoy good health but equally aware that can change at any moment.
So for me he will remain filtered but totally understand others will take a different view.

I am totally indifferent to whether he posts on here or anywhere else as he is the one and only person I filter.
Some claim he makes a big contribution and that is their opinion.Personally I believe that any “ contribution” he may make is far outweighed by the negative aspects which accompany his posts and the arguments that result and the damage to sentiment that it causes.
It seems clear he is currently serving a lengthy ban for whatever reason and it must have been a serious transgression of the rules so a real blessing for the smooth running of the board.
