I was referring to the 15th July RNS and the 3 month timeline for acquiring Chimagents. That is 15th October so was expecting some news next week.

The Adrian Parry role will have been critical in selecting Cobra and yes their experience makes then a great manu partner but Adrian would be the liaison officer imo.
Yes the 3 new positions are interesting.
First they are permanent so as you say a big commitment.
Second,they are very specific so are part of a strategic plan to move the science forward.
Third,they are for new/ recently qualified PhD post grads with specialist knowledge and expertise.The people who will qualify and are interested in these roles are specialists and have a pretty good idea of the direction in terms of the field they wish to pursue the next stage of their career in.
So a limited pool and one in which Lindy et al will have very good contacts in so SCLP especially at this stage in its development would be seen as a great option and of course “appealing to local” candidates.
Obviously not a limiting option but Nottingham based candidates are very likely to be well aware of LDs work and vice versa and probably be good team players.
Nottingham is a real hotbed of this type of research with likes of a Bio City and of course the huge commitment of Nottingham and Trent Uni in the fight vs Covid 19 May again very much help SCLP fill these important appointments.
Working at cutting edge science will be very important to any potential candidate imo

Great to see the recruitment drive by SCLP re the 3 research roles and certainly a heavy commitment to the future here and to ease the workload of others.So that is a big positive and thanks WTP for highlighting it.
SG-I really think the other role is not SCLP related.
Firstly it is with a CRO(Contract not Cancer) which is not only a completely different type of role than that with a bio pharma like SCLP.They need to stay independent as they carry out work for a number of bio pharmas and are not tied with any specific bio.
Second,it was advertised via an agency which is a subtle difference with the other roles directly recruited by SCLP which are direct.
Imo there is nothing commercially sensitive or a need for 3rd party liaison appointment between SCLP and. Cobra. It is a straightforward commercial contract and again Cobra were originally one of three outfits chosen as a manu partner fir the Oxford ChAd Vax.

Really sorry to hear about your bad luck and there are many good shares about but to me the most important bit is the price you pay.
So yes many of the shares quoted are good and I could probably quote you a few more but many will have had great rises already and yes it can still go up a lot more but many other SH who bought in much lower can then offload hence limited rise.
So you need imo to get in early so buying into a decent Company say after a placing without warrants or one that is historically low.

Yes very good news about the patent which was submitted on 26th August so may not be tied up with the Cobra manufacturing agreement.
I think they are just part of same process re development of Covid 19 Vax but we can’t be certain and just think it is good evidence of general progress rather than a specific tie up.
We already knew Cobra were likely manu partner so the latent is the bigger news imo

Have looked at most aspects of deal and looks a very good one to me and achieves all that Tony set out in terms of moving forward

A slight aside but of possible interest here is any thoughts you have on Human Challenge studies which is covered in the article.I am nit sure that Covidity will go through this scenarios but could a very good way of accelerating development of the Covid Vax.

Without going through every article I can’t recall but do remember it being mentioned as not being a fully live Covid 19 Virus but either an attenuated or a very closely related Covid 19 one.I know that one of US University’s was producing a version to use in HC trials
As many of the closely related Covid 19 ones may not be a good match so more SARS or MERS type then I see a modified live as being more likely.
As you say we will find out when we get the exact Covid challenge model we will know for certain.I am pretty certain the decision to use HC models has already been made in UK and the specific antigenic strain used in the model will have to be enough to mimic a field challenge.

Think Stapeler is correct that version given to HC volunteers will be an attenuated version of virus so again reducing the possibility of severe illness but it will be much more representative if a live challenge than any p3 trial which relies on comity infection.
Remember these HC trials are to accelerate development rather than replace large scale trials.It is all about the greater good and the risk/ benefit re these HC studies abd the risk of Covid 19 is huge abd the risk relatively small amongst the likely volunteer population
