They say imitation is biggest form of flattery but they were my 3 biggest take outs as well.
Especially noticed the DIM valuations and the change in emphasis on importance of pharma being interested in the data

Crumbs absolutely the potential with DNA is huge and great for scale manufacturing and yep the need for an effective delivery system.
I think your last point does sums up the majority feeling in here.No one is disputing the compelling nature of the science or the expert ability and time it takes to overcome these state of the art challenges so necessary to progress the potential into trials and generate the data to monetise the assets.
Before the Redmile investment removed the need for further funding which tended to polarise opinion here as there was always the danger of needing a further raise, their was some criticism of the BoD for its failure for whatever reason to “ get anything over the final line”.
Since then the general opinion is much more aligned and very supportive of the whole of SCLP and have a lot more confidence of getting the science over the line.
As Max said earlier some CEOs are much better at keeping SH informed as to what is going on and have a demonstrable record of “ getting over the final line” whereas CH by nature is more cautious and that is fine.
But the potential catalysts here are huge and “ getting them and how many over the final one” will ultimately determine the value here imo

We all trust in Linda’s approach and expertise in choosing the best pathway but as we can see it is the validation of the mRNA Approach via Covid rather than cancer which has really multiplied the interest.
Not only in the fact it got Approved as a safe and effective treatment but also the fact that it can be modified so quickly to be effective against mutating strains which are much more important in infectious virus,s than oncology.
But think of the boost to the whole Immunobody platform and by attention to Moditope etc if Covidity can be accelerated through the regulatory process

Intrigued by what Trader 3 may have linked as we know his research is second to none and that by doing extensive research here you can link the dots as much of what ORPH is doing and what is being planned is in co operation and partnership with Govts etc and they are the only Company that can undertake some of these challenges so you can actually work out some of these things by excellent detective work.

Just looked in for old times sake and seen a few familiar names.

CF has said several times he likes the CRO model as it means you get paid whatever the trial outcome.I think this plus it is cash generative means that the downside and risk attached to any drill or drug going through a trial however great the potential is always there

LL having checked the dates of the RNSs you and Rats are corrrectbthatvthe announcement of RM funding was 3 months after the 1st announcement of Covidity Vax but as Ratty says the DD would have happened over many months beforehand and the SCLP Covid Vax would have been very early doors so I would still suggest their prime reasons for investing such a huge amount was not Covid related.
The 2nd approach by Redmile may have been more influenced by Covidity but I seem to recall the money was earmarked for the non Covid advancement and the Innovate Money was going to cover much of the early Covid stuff.
This was never going to need the Redmile money to advance to a stage where results would determine the outcome

TF I am of same opinion as you that Redmile/Vulpes will be delighted if CEPI or anyone provides funding.As well as helping de risk it continues to validate the SCLP approach and helps progress the Covid Vax.
Don’t forget Redmile we’re in before Covidity so that is merely a bonus to them and of course the big requirement for finance us not only the p3 bit but the scaling up of manu and distribution.
This is where any CEPI or other funding will really help.
