CEPI are aiming for this 100 day target which you can easily see achievable when for eg it is say modifying the current mRNA or Oxford ChAd Vax to work against new strains you simply use lab results rather than p3.
However they also have this figure in mind for development of completely new Vax.
With this you would need to do a rapid pre clinical and p1 then probably a HC using a current CHIM for p2 and then lab based p3.

Yep Ray that is the 2 main points.It is conserved and more central thus less likely to mutate than Spike Glyco proteins .
Plus it has more “ commonality” hence linked in with other CVs like MERS/SARS

The bit that really worries them and where SCLP could be a real game changer is the fear of a MERS or SARS mortality and with the transmissibility of a Covid 19 variant combination now or in the future.
By targeting the Nucleocapsid protein which is the most conserved and common Coronavirus part that offers the best chance of combatting this fear.

Ruck absolutely correct we all should want to focus on SCLP and surely the vast bulk of LTH should be very happy but it appears not.
As you know I have been here 6 years and my level of confidence as in any share can ebb and flow with news and sentiment.So here I was very confident pre 2015 AGM/ when we announced the Bion Tech and CRUK/GC submission and that confidence ebbed when the GC failed/ delays to SCIB 1 etc but I regained that level of confidence when RM and Vulpes came in and then we had the accelerated development of Covid Vax.
Some people will judge that of changing my mind and adjusting my position accordingly.Absolutely correct and to me that is a sensible and balanced approach as new evidence or data emerges/ sentiment changes.
Personally most of us recognise the huge potential of the science but blind faith in the ability of SCLP to deliver this data over the last 8 years has not proved a particularly lucrative return in terms of SP until the notable difference in the last 9 months.
Surely we should all be on the same page just pleased at the progress made in the last 12 months but also be aware unless progress in trials is announced in a timely manner this will likely slip back.
This is not rocket science and I am not saying this to “ get a better entry” as some think as I am very happy with my exposure here but any LTH will genuinely know the pattern here it rises and again same with most shares it rises on expectations and falls if no news to substantiate that expectation.

If there is any type of mistake such as transfer into an USA rather than general investment fund or a wrong account number and the automatic transfer from PB to broker does not happen then you need to chase them.
So much is automated that any mistakes you have to draw there attention to unless you have a good broker.They are not all efficient at processing “ mistakes” and correcting them.
Especially important here as SP has fallen

Yep having a Universal Covid Vax so eliminating the need to worry about variants is a the best solution.
However the current mRNA can be modified much more quickly and easily almost as a kind of plug and play to cope with new variants than traditional fku models which are based on predicting prevalent antigenic strains.
Even without a universal Vaccine think most Scientists are quite comfortable with current Covid Vaccine Technology backed up by Aggressive Test and Trace in terms of overcoming current and future variants but if SCLP can fulfil its promise it will be a big step forward

I presume they mean more than one antigenic strain to deal with different variants so they just add a new strain to the existing mRNA Vaccine to protect vs the variants for eg SA or Brazilian strain.
See the Govt has also suggested rather than put these new Vax through a p3 they will just Approve based on measuring lab based results

Plus of course there is a huge potential market to go for so no one should get hung up about any competing threat

However if you listen to the interview it gives excellent endorsement of the general SCLP Approach and of course the other benefits of manu scale up and cost of SN15 will be major.
The quality of the data will be the ultimate deciding factor.

Take on board everything you say about oral Vax and could be a possibility and know that you can use intra nasal where DBA can be enveloped within a Vector virus like ChAD.
The info I posted about a DNA Plasmid Vaccine not being suitable as an intra nasal route of delivery comes from SCLP albeit 2 months ago.
I was trying to make a point without referring direct to the source to be helpful as I do not want to open up on who says what and when argument which sometimes occurs.
