Well, I will not feel one iota of sympathy with Wood. He got his 30 pieces of silver, his knighthood, for .... well, let's not go there. I finally jumped in to this fine, upstanding business this morning to see if I can make a few pennies. Fingers crossed.

Sold out this morning . Will buy back in when it drifts down again. This is very much a long term share but can't resist the occasional trade. If the share price doesnt drift back then so be it.

If that is a reference to me, then grow up. I have been in NARF since IPO. I also know cyber security well and have been a user of Polyswarm (which is a separate entity but from the same stable).

I hope that they do but i suspect most do not. There is a lot of risk with this share. There is no safety net, it will either collapse in a heap or I walk away a millionaire.

I remember the recent quandary of a UK chip designer. They had difficulty in getting the auditor to sign of the accounts because the non disclosure agreement prevented the auditors from having sight of the contracts. Although the award is in the public domain, I doubt if we will get much of an idea of the detail.

NARF works under a cloak of some secrecy. There is a balancing act between letting shareholders know what is happening and keeping the US government's desire for managed news release. This is not the first time when there has been a conflict between the need to know and the desire for you not to know.

This is a company whose skills are helping to prevent cyber Armageddon. The skills that are in this company are worth far more than gold dust. I remember the NARF video that said that there 26 million good computer coders in the world. Of those, just 1% of those (260,000) understand a lot of what goes under the bonnet. Of those 260,000, just 1% (2,600) are considered expert enough that NARF would be interested in hiring. NARF want to hire 55 of those 2,600 experts.

AI is a bandwagon, it is the flavour of the month, it is a bubble that will pop and share prices will return to sensible levels. AI certainly has legs in the short and long term but I don't like it when a company changes direction for no reason other than everyone else is doing it. I have no idea what skills are required for AI or whether NARF have them or can procure them. Indeed, NARF have trouble even recruiting for their current plans let alone going off at a tangent. I take your point but I hope that they keep focussed and build that moat.

Just decided to return to this site after a break.

A good bit of my background has been software development including Open Source applications. When a piece of OS software is made available to the world, the source code, the programming code, is also released. This source code, and therefore the usable software, can be enhanced by anyone. The changes will then be peer reviewed and released to the world. Anyone who uses the Firefox browser is using an OS application.

The worry about OS software is that it open to the world and vulnerabilities can be easily inroduced. We have seen such vulnerabilities in just about every piece of Microsoft software hence the ongoing system updates. There have been a number of massive system failures due to vulnerabilities being introduced and exploited by cyber attacks.

The social cyber platform, as I understand matters, helps to identify and remove vulnerabilities at the early possible time i.e. during the initial development phase and later. This will not be sold to customers but they will pay for the service on an ongoing basis.
