At face value, I would tend to agree with the sentiments expressed. I cannot see the benefits of the deal, only TRIG seems to benefit, oh yes, the Investment Manager, now there is a surprise. I will pick up a few more next week if the share price is still low.

Am I showing my ignorance but does "reinvigorated investment strategy" mean the current Investment Manager, who works for both companies, has been sitting back and doing damn all of late and just collecting fees? Surely if the Investment Manager and the BoD were doing their job then there would be no need to re-invigorate anything.

The market decides what the share price will be. I don't believe in buy backs, I would rather have an increased dividend. To me, buy backs show a lack of imagination as to what to do with the surplus of funds and, by improving the EPS, it makes it easier for Directors to achieve their performance bonus. They use your money to get their bonus.

B&M is bargepole territory it is saddled with debt, increased labour costs and stubbornly high inflation affecting input prices.

Personally, having lived in many farming communities, I think I would prefer seeing larger, well managed, corporates take over food production.

This evening 's programme deals more with the modular home industry issues than the drama of the build. It is an interesting viewpoint, well worth a watch.

Thanks for your comments. I will shortly be living in a prefabricated house, albeit a seventy year old one. Apparently my house was built in a week. To deal with the UK housing crisis, prefabrication has to be the way forward. Other countries i think, like Chile, will bit e the bullet and go with prefabs, I cant see an alternative other than shipping containers. Any way, when i did the calculation, i used the same proportions that i see in my house and worked out the square metres from there. Even if you increased the material use substantially, there is still an awful lot of stock.

Sorry to be a pain. If you think of a 100 square metre house on two floors, that should need around 210 square metres of external and internal walls. 7 metres each for four external walls (28 metres). Internal walls 13 metres. Height being 2.5 metres. Total square meters for one floor is (rounded) 105 square metres. For two floors, it should require 210 square metres of wall panels for the house. If 42,000 square metres were produced, that is enough for 200 houses or so. How many have been produced to date? Two in Chile, one in Albania. Are there others?

She will mention landlords but she is reluctant to go head to head against Build To Rent because that would affect the 1.5 million new build target.

I have been watching this share for a good year or so. I am now getting to that point where i am likely to jump in. I am a keen DIYer and am virtually rebuilding a 70 year old prefabricated paneled house (I posted about it in the Telegram group). I have a dislike of plaster board because of its fragility, lack of strength and propensity to retain moisture. The Eco web site talks about the strength of the product thanks to glass fibre. It skips over the waterproofing aspects just by saying that it uses additives. Their web site text talks about the Santiago tests but doesn't mention dampness. I suppose the question i am asking is that, can i be comfortable that the panels do the job in, say, a damp region.

I learnt something today. I am currently renovating a property in a street of about 600-700 metres long. The 70 year old main power line is beginning to encounter issues as the oil based wrapping is starting to corrode. So they dug up the street and replaced the old copper mains power cable with an aluminium

if it was me, I would connect the new aluminium cable to the properties and then remove the old copper cable for recovery. Instead, the copper cable remains in situ - buried beneath the pavement. i spoke with the contractor who said that this was not of interest to the company.

Given Narf's experience in this area, i would expect that Narf is capable of operating at the highest level but i would like confirmation from the company. Given the number of Government systems and the huge number of suppliers, there looks to be money to be made.
