@ Anger.
You really do not understand what i'm saying.
Letters and untracked items still have to be delivered. You've heard of the USO?
I'll break this down into times if you like based on a 35 hour week:
S.D's, letters and untracked items: 5.30am -12.30pm Monday - Saturday
Tracked items: 2.pm - 9pm Monday - Sunday
Obviously, with less items to sort and deliver, the deliveries increase but only in delivery points, not time.
So the delivery points you take from one duty and pass to another, frees up hours for the parcel duties. The more delivery points you pass on, the more parcel duties you have.
Sundays could be a premium service. I'm not sure how the figures stack up, but i believe it's workable.
It's quite simple in my book. But what do i know. I'm just a postie.
Results today show that the company are losing £1m a day. You agree with that?
Did this loss occur overnight? Were there any losses in the last period? When shareholders were paid £400 million pounds. When managers, including Thompson were paid bonuses for failing to achieve targets.
GLS? It may be separated off. You will get shares in the new company but your value holding in RMG will diminish, likewise. But should this happen, and RMG is nationalised, if you think you'll get face value, £8 billion as you say, think again.
