It seems like it. As i mentioned the other day, 2 non-operational managers will be in offices in body only.
It is going to be a very trying time.
I'm now beginning to wonder if Mr T's head could roll in the not too distant future.

Up to three hours later to meet the new mail arrival times in offices due to the green agenda BS.
I'm not sure how this will affect overtime, should these changes be forced through.
I'll post all seven pages of RMG propaganda if you like. I'll have to check with my ADR though. To make sure that i'm not doing anything i shouldn't be. You wouldn't want me to lose my job, would you?

Overtime is banned? Do you mean pressure or absence?
There is no pressure o/t which means walks are failing. And no summer lapsing either. I assume you mean taking out part of another delivery if you have time. Whole walks are left though.

Despite the extreme heat, which actually wears you out, i have extended my working day by up to 3 hours. By working overtime. It's absolutely knackering getting up 3 hours earlier to do the early morning sorting.

You adhere to every word that is posted that is positive about RMG. But never take any negatives from the people who actually work for the company.

Would you agree that BG's focus now lies elsewhere? Colombia has been handed over. Unless Newmont / Agnico do not take their interest forward, news releases lie with them.
If BG were to be not so forthcoming with news regarding El Pantano and Ariquemes, then i may be worried. These developments are now under his jurisdiction, unlike Colombia.
I get your frustration. Average down. We all know why we are here. Colombia!!! And the take-over bid.
Brazil and Argentina are further down the line. But should Colombia materialise as i believe it will, i won't be here any longer. And nor will you.

I've been on the peripheral of revisions. The last one in my office (not including the current one that we are still going through) 11 years ago.
Yes. Parcels have increased.
The size of the parcels have definitely increased.
But the actual volume isn't as dramatic (in my office, so possibly elsewhere) as you would believe. The handling and processing within the office and outside is where the problem lies.
Ready for delivery scans. Deliver to neighbour scans. Collection from customers and post boxes scans. And dealing with the customers we collect from who are too stupid to read what you have to do. The collection from customers is an absolute gold mine. This includes amazon returns.
This is all time consuming. Maybe we need extra staff? Maybe that's how the market currently views it?
There are many good things going on within RMG from a financial, shareholder perspective, but many bad things too.

GLS? I'd assume that the price reflects everything under the RMG umbrella, including GLS.
If this is the most profitable part of the company, sell it off. Return Royal Mail to public ownership. And let us deliver the service that we have been doing before privatisation.

It wasn't that long ago that the price was 119p. Covid related of course. But the average price for the 6 months prior to covid was about 200p. Not too far removed from what i'm saying.
This share has always behaved irrationally. A year ago it was 600p. Why has it fallen so dramatically despite the dividend reinstatement and share buy back? Some posters on here have given fantastic company figures, but that is not reflected in the current share price.
Now you will have some proper news that the market can get their teeth into. The strikes. All of them. And from a starting point of 270p. Good luck with that.

As for VESA taking over. Why would Kretinsky want to? I have no idea why he hasn't taken his profit and legged it. Macys style. Maybe he wants the company. What on earth does he think he's going to do?
I welcome it. The service is sh*t. If ST, aye, gets his way, the remaining staff will hate it. It will be a revolving carousel of staff, and the quality of service will go down the pan. EVEN FURTHER! Maybe Kretinsky can remedy that?

I wouldn't go short on the CWU ballot result. Just my opinion.
But that may be an option for any players though, if the managers actually go out strike. Now, many are not in the CMA, so may be moved around. So there is a person in charge at every office.
Failing this, non-operational managers are being put into delivery offices as a PIC. I've spoken to a couple of these managers and the feeling is: Well what do they expect me to do? I don't know how delivery offices work.
This could be a very damaging time for RMG. And the share price.

You mention a financed mine.
This is what bothers me though. Financing talks have been going on for years. !0 months after the ML was granted and still nothing. We have that mine expert chap on board too.
Last September we were at 6.3p. If MB had raised at something around that price to fund the mine completely, where would we be now?
Of course it would have doubled the shares in issue. I hate dilution, and even more the warrants that come attached to it. But If this is such a compelling investment, then surely attracting HNWI's would not have been a problem.
However, if this was mentioned a year ago, i would've still thrown my toys out of my pram.
I now think it may have been the way forward.

If you believe that Newmont and Agnico are going to sign up for the next phase in September, these prices do appear to be on the low side. If you believe it will happen, why would anyone not continue to buy. Obviously, as and when the funds permit.
The price can stay as low as it wants, for as long as it wants. I'm trying to buy as much as i can on limited funds. I think we are sitting on a proverbial and realistic, gold mine.

I don't think that the ballot result will cause a huge drop. When the dates are given for IA, and these get ever nearer, then i'd imagine it could be very detrimental to the share price.
More damaging though will be the second ballot. If it gets voted on, and action taken. And if both strike actions are taken together. I'm not actually sure how this works out.
But i think it will be carnage. 150p maybe? October time. Leading up to crimbo.

Another 150 quid saved towards my strike fund last week. Takes me to 350 in the kitty. I can't believe that RMG are letting me do overtime, knowing that it's paying for my "days off." More hours banked this week, despite the extreme heat.

Maybe that's what Thompson wants. I and many others have said it. Out with the old and in with the new. Unfortunately though, the turnover of staff will lead to an even worse service than now.

Well not in my book. This will seriously impact my life and my families, if the Thompson Twit gets his way.

I don't think you do actually get it. See it from the perspective of a postie. Imagine you are one.
The pay rise: 2% forced upon us, when £400 million was given to shareholders. Profits achieved through your average postie.
Again. Imagine you are a postie. You are told that you have to work Sundays. Not every Sunday, but still some. I'd imagine you'd be quite happy, right?
Then you are told you will have to start 3 hours later. But they want shorts and longs. So in summer your day will be shorter, and this is meant to facilitate more time at home with the family. But it doesn't, because you start 3 hours later. Then in Winter you finish even later, because RMG have clawed back the hours you haven't allegedly worked. Plus see my response to JBT about working in darkness.
And then you have the responsibilities outside of RMG. If any of this comes to fruition, i will not be able to look after my grandchildren in the week, while their parents are working. Thereby, affecting them too.
And that's just skimming over the top. This is how it affects me. Would you accept these changes if you were in my position?
I don't think so.
And then you post that if we strike, it's an opportunity to buy more shares cheaply. You should be thanking us then.
