The pay rise wasn't accepted. The extra 3.5% is conditional. The change in working practices has clearly not been agreed. Hence the second ballot. So the 1.5% will not be paid. The "bonus" is laughable. 500 quid if we meet RMG's targets. Which are??
Unless Thompson changes his stance, blue collar workers will be on strike.
I would not like to be holding at the moment. Just my opinion.

The best-case scenario would be that RMG discuss their proposals. All i can see is that they have walked away from everything and are implementing things by executive action. Which they said they were not going to do.
But i cannot see a best-case scenario.
It would not surprise me in the slightest that all angard staff are recruited, lined up and ready to go. And have been for months.
Thompson wants us to strike. End of story.

2002? Wasn't that the year they went to single daily delivery? Later starts, later finishes, bigger duties. We had more casuals in our office than posties. Is history going to repeat itself?

You are probably not aware that the majority of offices are understaffed and failing daily.
So, take away our parcels and we might just clear the office every day with the staff we currently have in post. A bit like we used to do prior to privatisation.
But i like your idea of redundancies. I'm in the same boat as Oli G.

I heard today that the CMA strike was called off because RMG have said that they will employ more managers. That's it.
A manager told me this.
I cannot remember the figures, but redundancy was just paid out to hundreds, maybe thousands of managers. And now they want to recruit again.
What a brilliant idea that was!
You could not make up how badly this company is being run.

I made an assumption that you are under water with RMG. Rightly or wrongly, it was to do with your posting style, which includes your obvious dislike of how RMG employees work. Of course, in your esteemed opinion.
But, this is RMG, not ACP. So please keep your realistic, but also "loaded" facts, to the correct board.
Yes, I'm down on ACP. What has that got to do with RMG? Nothing!
I don't know or even care what other companies you are invested in.

I'm not sur how the figures stack up, but yes, RMG are shareholders.
That includes Simon Thompson and his hierarchy. So, before you post FFS, can you please elaborate on how many shares blue collar workers are holding, in line with our esteemed bosses.

I'd also like you to read your post again, taken from the BBC website. I'll quote """"workers are expected to take a serious real-terms pay cut""". So maybe the workers are using their shares to offset any IA. Make no mistake, the majority of shareholders, blue collar workers, will be going on strike. Apart from "those people".

What i meant by continued, is that if you left the business and came back, your previous years would be counted as seniority.
I think this took effect in about 1998. Can't remember though.

Royal Mail offered seniority as a reward for length of service. Trying to retain staff.
Back in the day, many duties were more favourable, work wise. Not so now.
Anything else on seniority, or is it just the one thing?
