RE: Strike ?2 Aug 2022 22:55
@ Commonsense.
We have 5 agency staff coming into our office tomorrow, to view a video regarding the expectations of them regarding the delivery of "parcels". They are not allowed to touch letter deliveries.
They will be with us for ??? amount of time.
Apparently, this is in preparation for the strike.
How odd, that RMG cannot pay their "real staff" to clear their mail on a daily basis, but are willing to pay over the odds for agency staff. Maybe the savings made are facilitating this.
I'm not sure if this is my office only, but i believe that is not the case.
I'm sure, that the soon to be striking posties, will assist the agency staff. I certainly will! LMFAO.
But i'm absolutely certain that "those people who do not strike (YOU KNOW THE ONES)" , will do nothing to assist these workers. Once again, the carrot is dangled for non-union "people". They will be allowed to finish as early as possible. Thereby cutting their own throats on two counts.
For any shareholder here, that must be music to their ears. RMG are putting in place actions to mitigate the strike.
Well done, Simon. Strike dates to be announced very soon. I do hope that any action days do not fall on my days off. I'm looking forward to a 4 or maybe a 3 day week. Another 150 quid cash saved towards my strike fund. Now at £600. I think the overtime opportunity may fall away soon. It certainly should do.
