can anyone shed light on if one were to buy shares today, would those shares be entitled to dividend payment- I realise today is the ex-divi date- does the ex- become effective at close of play today or did it become effective at close of play yesterday?

Croth agree, thats why there is a case for the Nomad and old bod to answer, it was a deliberate fraudulent activity by them to issues shares after suspension to cover the the naked short selling, nothing to do with having assets ready to be invested in as they implied and misled the investors- it was a blatant lie and they have acknowledged as such- I think there is a strong case for the company to take them to the cleaners.

I think it would be worthwhile putting resolutions at the EGM for the company to take legal advice to recover from the nomad and former bod members the company and its shareholders suffered from their fraudulent acts. Both Nick and Adam will resist this because they are mates with the nomad and their other chums. I think there is a very good chance of succeeding with the legal action because the wrong doing by the nomad is already admitted. Also I believe a resolution to reduce or even replace the bods remuneration with results based share options should be tabled.

I see Big Sofa has listed on Aim today and risen a modest 5% in early trading.

Yes agree Gooba, all we can do is watch the BoD. Although you say Nick has 7%,its not his own money its poor suckrs like us in PRS, he just gets to draw wages by putting their money in the company, that seems to be his modus operandi, if you look at the PRS board or any other companies he's involved. He wasn't very proactive here when he needed to be. Not done very good job of cleaning the Co. here. Please keep to months rather than years if only to sustain the morale.

Or if they don't do this then freeze salaries/fees and pay those when they manage to relist at twice sp price previous to suspension. Maybe an agenda item for NWOG to consider Directors remuneration until the co. is in a state to have income/revenue? If NWOG is unwilling to do it then others with big holdings like Tonyb come together to enforce an egm put a straight jacket on any cash spending or lending.

Gooba on what evidence do you arrive at that conclusion, I thought the single person that was responsible for delivering the rto was AR. What value has NL added to the company. GB is being used as a fall guy and diversion from pinning down those at the helm. The suspension continues because there is no Nomad and nobody wants that job, they did give three months notice after all and what could be the reason why no nomad can be appointed? Why does it take 6 months to do a dd on a flimsy outfit like BS? theres got be something more substantive than just GB putting himself forward for the bod?

They're all closing ranks, they wouldn't allow any independent investigation. It appears to be a long on going case of you scratch my back,I scratch your back. I hope those going to AGM (PI's) are able to hold them to account and don't let them deflect to the previous BoD, they have been there long enough to have raised red flags and instigate appropriate action, they share the corporate responsibility.

Would it be be better to close the shop down, distribute the cash to shareholders and have it done with these corporate arse holes, that would save all of the cash leak.

Onthemoney if its any consolation, I consider myself naive and stupid in having invested and then gone to these lengths to beat the system, you can't beat them they close ranks (incidently my thesis is that AR is also part of the system, he's in certain circumstances slightly more generous in dispersing the crumbs). If you go to the reconvened meeting tomorrow you will see how they close out using us PIs (i include myself in that) to cold shoulder anyone outside of their ranks. The lesson I am constantly learning don't fall for the hype, always look at the situation objectively and not to idolise anyone, and more importantly ridicule and laugh at yourself when you realise you have been sha..ed, its not easy but better than building stress in yourself. Spikes give the kid a break, I know he was asking for it, but it appears he's sensitive one and built up stress from the NEW merry go round, who wouldn't.

Spikes your right, I think things will unravel themselves and then some of us maybe able to put 2 and 2 together but by then the narrative would have changed, just as it is at the moment. Nobody is asking the obvious questions, wasn't at the AGM but don't recall any explanations as to had been happening over the past 12months, why did the dd for a small outfit like BS take 6months etc. etc. Why is NL so much opposed to one additional member on the bod when he never lifted a finger to rid three obstructive ones? Yes its a mugs game they always win.

It is true that AR's father is associated with BS, but it is not true that he did not declare this, His father's interest was declared at the outset. There are conflicts of interest at various levels but in the nudge nudge wink wink mode hence difficult to prove, therefore best left untouched at this stage.

I don't like commenting on peoples' writing styles, but since you ask for it, Onthemoney, you need to look at your own diatribe more like kettle calling the pot .... don't you think?. When did you invest in NEW? you only appeared on this bb in July. The shares were suspended back in March or May time so you couldn't have bought them during this time. If you were invested before this time what actions did you take to get rid of the old bod? Yes I have also been involved with AR's succes's and thats why us NWOG supported and brought him on the bod. He was given opportunities to further clear his path by having equality of power on the bod, but he vehemently opposed that. He got onto the BOD of FRI much later, with the co. being in a far worse financial state than NEW and come up with double quick rto which is a success, so the question is not that I have any thing against him or question his abilities or contacts, It is this why has he done a duffer on NEW. There are lots of things that don't add up and no official explanation has been offered as to how they are or not going to get of this rut. The offer is still on the table Onthemoney and don't get so precious, if your hero is questioned!

I think you have to find a willing buyer and transfer the shares through private- not sure of the mechanics as never done it myself.

Agree with you Ant- I don't understand what this game is and for who's benefit, but definitely will not be for my or other fellow PI's benefit, the system and the the corporate types have fine tuned the art of screwing us. Onthemoney, you recent appearance (july I think ) seems to be only for the sake of praising AR and raising him to the status of god, yes he has had successes and failures in his cv's. he was brought in to sort the mess out, he wasn't forced and he is not doing it on a good will gesture, until the results otherwise indicate he is no better than the previous bod and by god they were bad. I think it would help if people took a dispassionate look at the situation, rather than follow personalities or various camps.
