I certainly agree with that......maybe my point is whether there was or wasn't an 'informal' bid .....it would or should never get out of the room and and rock up at the nearest rumour mill.

Jive I know what you're saying about the 'informal' stuff.....but once again it's not for "the management of the company to be bought to agree to it"......it's just not and I have experience.....there are plenty of occasion's that a board don't recommend a t/o but they are still bound by rules when it comes to informing shareholders.

I get the sitting round the table having a cup of tea and a CEO of one company saying to another do you think the shareholders would go for ex amount.....but it is never in the remit of a CEO or the board as to whether a bid is acceptable or not....unless of course they have enough shares/votes of their own to push it through.

That cannot be true because any offer has to be put to the shareholders period........and if it is true he will soon have the FCA camping in his front garden

Rorkes..I have long held a similar opinion and feel at times that AS still treats AVCT a bit too much like a university project and not enough like the commercial venture it is.

Gje306 it doesn't really matter in the world of AIM when they can be admitted, a broker can naked sell up to 20% of the shares in issue so as Codejunkie said hopefully most have been forward sold already which would perhaps explain the tight trading range and the constant seller.......also we had there days in a row where 3 large trades alone were sold totalling around 800,000 shares which if it wasn't a distressed seller may well have been Heights as well.

PL...I'm not sure we can assume that, there is nothing stopping AVCT acquiring a distribution company in Germany and then rebranding into LD.

Living abroad I’m not able to attend AGM’s so I thank all the contributions from the shareholders who did, observations from people that are actually ‘in the room’ are for me always key when assessing an AGM , like many I watched the webcast live and was certainly impressed with Eliot Forster.

My takeaway though was that lack of imformation given out on the DX side of the business with regards to the strategy and revenues going forward bearing in mind it has been responsible for the bulk of AVCT's expenditure in the last 12 months.

AS again mentioned expansion into Germany which will at some point I guess be another acquisition and in turn more expenditure but what I picked up on was AS talking with regards to the recent acquisitions........ not to expect much in the way of new products in the next 12 months because things take a long time to develop.

We have heard nothing from the DX Wetherby side of the company since the fated Covid LFT was pulled 18 months so my question is…. what have they been doing for the last 18 months because in another 12 months that will have been 2 1/2 years without any information on products being produced to sell through LD……..which I thought was part of the reason for that acquisition.

.75p........mate I have never commented on your stuff because I just felt that you are entitled to your opinion and occasionally I find the odd post you make of interest.......but you have just stated .'75p' to be incendiary and its pathetic........so I have had enough as well.

Sportstrader ....I would like to see Cenkos or Cantor, I don't think either of those would be anything like as leaky to the likes of TW......don't forget the 120p placing was leaked before hand and that drove the SP all the way down from 180 to 109.

Namomat.....I certainly agree with your assessment and highlights clearly the poor advice that STFL were dishing out to AVCT ....but I don't think it was a stitch up... more incompetence.

Thats the very reason that people are calling for STFL to be sacked and replaced with a firm that actually does the job properly, they are the Nomad/Broker who are supposed to be looking after the interests of AVCT's listing.....but they have clearly just done the deal collected their millions and walked away.......rather than managing Heights disposal which may well suppress the SP for some time to come.....STFL should be looking for off book buyers to take them off their hands.
